My dad loves racing games. I spent many hours watching him play Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit and Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed. Now, though, he doesn't have too much time to play. Starfox 64 was fun as hell with him. Elementary school, I'd come home from lunch, eat quick, and we'd play that till I had to go again.

My mom's an avid Spider Solitaire gamer... And she plays Tetris since I reinstalled it on her comp. I doubt she'll ever beat my first-try highscore, muahaha. Oh, and we used to play the minigames on Pokemon Stadium 64.

Come to think of it... I miss that N64.

Mom never cared for games. Dad, on the other hand, played a lot of Tetris when I still had my gray brick of a Game Boy. After that, it was downhill from there. He did play an occasional game of Soul Calibur III along with a lot of time invested in the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker video games. These days, he'll sing an occasional song or two in Rock Band 2. He was pretty excited when I told him that they released two Simon & Garfunkel songs for DLC.

My mom loves word-games. She plays them on her iPhone. She used to love Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros. and Bomberman on the NES, though.

My dad likes those same games, and a few more. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Robocop vs. Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Mario Kart, and Mortal Kombat.
More recently: Bomberman: Act Zero, Peter Jackson's King Kong, Prince of Persia (trilogy), the new Prince of Persia, and Assassin's Creed (series).

My dad was into Doom, Myst, and he's expressed an interest in Bioshock.
My father was pretty big on Doom and Myst as well, and not too long ago he re-installed MS-DOS on a spare computer so we could play Doom 2, although that didn't last too long. He was also quite big on flight simulators and Lemmings, but now it's just Solitaire and Tetris.

Chess for my old man. He's the best damn chess player I've ever seen and he just beats the computer like nothing else.

My mom prefers poker.

My mom likes Tetris and my dad likes CoD and the Gothic series. My mom doesn't play games at all though and that's the only one she would ever put her hands on.

My dad likes C&C Generals, he won't look at any other game. Not WC3, not HL2, not Bioshock.
Maybe Red Alert 3...

Da LOVES Wolvenstien 3D, Commander Keen and the original Duke Nukem.

I'm thinking of getting him a copy of Live Dos Games for his next birthday. lol.

Ma's not a big fan of computer games but she's been known to enjoy watching us all beat the shite out of each other in Tekken

My mum's never got into games. She can't see the attraction at all.

My Dad used to play Sonic the Hedgehog quite a lot. He'd play the Tekken series we with. His favourites, however, were the racing simulators (like Colin McRae Rally) and cartoony racing games like Crash Team Racing. When I started to play different things, he stopped.
He'll watch me every so often on Call of Duty's campaign, but that's it now...

I used to play Netstorm: Islands at War with my dad, and as far as I recall that was the only videogame he liked. That was about 7 years ago or something, nowadays he just hates everything.

Same with my mum, she hates games in general, which includes videogames. I got her to play WoW for a few minutes though. Hilarity ensued.
