My mom loves PopCap and iWin games except Plants Vs. Zombies. She especialy loves the Bejewled games, but right now she's mainly been playing Peggle Nights.
My step-dad plays either older shooters like Quake or Hoyle games, mainly poker and chess. He's really looking for a newer shooter that either plays like the older ones, not needing him to learn every key on the keyboard, or a good sniper game. So far, not much luck.

I managed to get my dad briefly interested in Rome total war. To my astonishment, he was better at it than me, and I'd been playing it for over a year and could win a campaign on Very Hard as a roman faction. I think he'd have made an excellent general if he'd been around at that time. We even won Carrae working as a team. (No I don't know how to spell it.) Anyone who has played RTW knows how hard that battle is to win.
My dad plays oblivion, warcraft 3, Total War, Baulder's Gate, KotOR, etc. He played Wow with me for a while too.

My parents are both Need for Speed and Tekken fans. They also used to play Siphon Filter together. I have them to thank for my love of video games.
My Dad will play anything I do, and I sometimes do co-op with him, as he's pretty good. His favourite would be Gears of War or FIFA.

My dad plays Rainbow Six Vegas, and he used to enjoy the origional DOOM and play Crash team racing on the PS1. He also plays Blazing Angels on the origional xbox.
My step dad plays Counter Strike: Scource, Half life 2, and basically every Valve game.
My mom likes racing games, but barely plays... ever.
And on a side note: My 5 year old sister plays Counter Strike: Scource, and she's actually pretty decent

My dad has played quite some RPG's including Arcanum, Morrowind and Oblivion and has finished them all close to 100%, ocasionally still finding a cave or ruin in Oblivion he hasn't cleared yet... 0_o

My dad's at work all the time and when he's not he watches TV or plays golf. I have enough trouble getting him to puch in a username and password for paypal so I can buy games off of steam. I doubt I could get him to actually play one of the games.
My mom would play minigames on Mario Party 4 on the Gamecube. She's blind in one eye so it was the only game that she could really play because she couldn't read the letters on the controller. Big green button does this, small red button does this... etc.

My mother has a minor obsession with tetris on vacations, but nothing other then that.
As for my father he mostly plays FPS and beat em up. I've tried to get him to try some MMOs, but he's afraid he'd like it and get stuck ^^
