Games you've imported

I realize this is a bit of a broad question, but I'm curious as to the sort of games people have imported, and why.
When you think about it, importing a game is some serious stuff: you have to actually get a copy (somehow), you have to make sure you can play it (region locking is quite common nowadays), and then there's the language barrier when everything else is dealt with (because they always seem to export games if they're in the same language...)

Personally, I've got the two Ouendan games for DS, since I just loved EBA that much. I've also played a (sloppily translated) copy of Jump Ultimate Stars, cuz I needed a good fighting game for my DS. All three were entirely worth it. Course the DS isn't region-locked, so it's not as bad as it might've been...

So, to reiterate, what games (if any) have you imported? Why did you feel compelled to import them? And were they worth the effort?

If I knew Japanese I would have imported a crap ton of PSP games from playasia. I've never really imported, always been the patient type even if it drives me insane.

I imported Fate/Unlimited Codes for the PS2, and got a copy of Swap Magic to play it. It was one of my favorite games to play in the arcades while I was in Japan, so I reserved a copy almost as soon as I got back to the U.S.

I plan to do the same for Melty Blood: Actress Again, and I need a new copy of Swap Magic.

Well I live in The Netherlands, and since we don't really make games you could say every game I have bought in a shop was imported. But that's probably not what you meant, so nope.

I've imported Rock Band and Rock Band 2 cause it took WAY too long to come out in Australia.

Yeah, I'm patient enough most of the time, but when they flat out refuse to release a game, I's rather import it than wait FOREVER (literally).

I heard the Melty Blood games were fun (I'm a bit of a fighting game junkie to begin with), but I never bothered to import any of them. Yet...

Much as it makes me feel bad to say so, but I recommend finding a torrent of Melty Blood: Re-Act first, one that's compatible with Mirror Moon's translation patch. It has the story mode of the original game, but has much better gameplay at the same time. The games were PC-exclusives until Act Cadenza, which also dropped the main storyline.

And yes, they are quite fun, though I'm a bigger fan of the visual novels (Tsukihime and Kagetsu Tohya) they spun off from.

I imported Mobile Suit Gundam: The Ace Pilot for Gamecube. It's an awesome game that's never going to be brought to the US.
