I've never been able to play a game from start to finish in one sitting. I wish i had the time, since i imagine it would be quite fun. This way you'd get a better understanding of the story, i guess, unless you're rushing the game.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT!

In all seriousness I've never been able to beat a game in one sitting. When it comes to games and indeed other things you can get through at your own pace like books I tend to extend out my enjoyment for a nice, round while. Oh and additionally the longest I've ever played one game straight for is 8 hours on SSBB at a mates house from some time in the evening (I'm guessing around 7:00) to about 3am the next day. I felt so rotten the next day I donned sunglasses for most of it.

believe it or not - final fantasy 7. 100% (except for Enemy Skills materia, and we did use W-Item to get elixirs to feed to Magic Pots). Beat both weapons, got several copies of pretty much all of the materia, including Knights of the Round

was a 36 hour seating, but that game never got turned off.

Sometimes, I really miss being a kid.
holy fuck. can i say rushhhh?????

that is incredible, i usually put in double the amount of time and im still not to that point of beating it quite yet.

OT: kotor/halo 1 2 3/republic commando/battlefront II/(insert awesome n64 games here)
any game takes less time the more time you can dedicate to it.

If you can dedicate 36 straight hours, you can probably beat almost anything in any game.
i guess that is true. im a huge fucking multitasker so games take me longer than most people in the time log to beat games, if i were to sit down fully immersed and destroy a game, im sure i could do most within 36 hours easily.

The only one I know I've beaten in one sitting is Spyro 1, to 120% completion. Twice. And The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning is a walk in the park. Other than that, I don't really recall any others, but I think I've beaten a Kirby game in one sitting before.

Portal, obviously. I've gotten to the point where it takes less than an hour to beat it without using exploits and without trying to do a speed run.

I also kind of beat Heavy Rain in one sitting, but I started it at night and played for about an hour and when I woke up I finished the game so I kind of beat it in under 24 hours. I just couldn't stop playing.

Metal Gear Solid 4 in 5 hours, finished the game with 0 kills and 0 alerts.
... no... way... I refuse to believe this considering I got nearly 200 alerts and finished it in 20 hours on my first playthrough.

Metal Gear Solid 2 springs to mind. Took about 8 hours including about 45 minutes of rampaging around with a rocket launcher killing stuff for fun.

Well, there were a lot of games back in the NES/SNES days which I played through in one sitting, but that was how it was back then. The only two recent games I can think of are Portal and the Scott Pilgrim game, which are pretty short as well, so no big deal. Even if I had the time, I wouldn't want to play "marathon"-style, losing sleep and whatnot.. though occasionally I will go for, like, 8 hours straight when I can, and feel kinda gross afterward.

-cracks knuckles-

PoP: S0T - 4 hours
PoP: TFS - 4 1/2 hours
PoP: WW - 4 hours
PoP: TT - 4 1/2 hours
PoP (the shiney new one) - 5 hours (5 1/2 with the epilogue)
LoZ: OOT - 9 hours
Loz: MM - 10 hours (12 to get the rest of the masks)
Mirror's Edge - Can't remember, got immersed
The Weird Story mode in SSBB - also can't remember
Sonic 1,2,3 (not like I had a choice)
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron - 7ish, but there were 2 of us

I think that's all... aside from the classics like the Mario games, and all of those games that were created before saving was an option.

Portal, Half Life 2 and the episodes, and Bioshock. Sat down with Bioshock at like 1100 and finished it around 1630. Got so lost in that one. There are a bunch on the genesis i beat in a sit down, but they didn't have saves or passwords so they kinda had to be beat that way.

Played for the first time Silent Hill Origins in two or three sittings, 4.5 hours.

Played dozens of times, Silent Hill 1 (1h), Silent Hill 2 (2.5h), Silent Hill 3 (2h).
