Are we meant to believe that VALVe are letting Gamescom break their every so solid silence?

I highly doubt it, but there it is all the way at the bottom of that list. A cruel joke?

In case that?s not enough, I just got off the phone with a Gamescom representative who confirmed to me that every game on that list will be showcased at Gamescom 2012, and that the list itself is entirely legitimate. I didn?t ask about Half-Life 3, but you?re free to pick up the phone if you like.

I think the infinitely more important point is that Train Simulator 2012 and City Bus Simulator Munich are being shown!

OT: It's possible I suppose, and it looks legitimate enough. But by now I've seen enough fake "Half Life 3" claims that I'll wait for more solid information.

Yeah, i stumbled onto that info a few minutes ago as well, from some random YouTube comments. It seems a bit weird-ish, and wasn`t there somewhere written that part of that info was collected from gaming forums and such? I could very easily be mistaken...
But if it is true...well, yay, say I.

Valve said that when they announce HL3, they will do it their own way.

Gamescom isn't big enough in my opinion, although I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Actually, the Gamescom is probably the biggest con besides the Penny Arcade ones. No, the E3 is maybe the biggest in the eyes of the investors, not in the eyes of about everyone else.

Strange... that it falls in so perfectly with the Mann vs Machina update and the revealing of Gray Mann (who looks and acts a lot like the famous GMan). Oh Valve, what u up to?

The point is more that VALVe have the means to do this themselves. That's definitely the way they should roll.
Unless this is a kickstart to a really really really sneaky piece of long-term advertising.

Update: Dragon Age 3 and Half-Life 3 appearing on the Gamescom-compiled list of games at the show was "a mistake", the organisers have told Eurogamer.

Eurogamer asked three times why the names were listed, but no explanation was given.

If no big announcement... then at least a small tease? Maybe? A small snidbit, a couple concept artworks lying around here and there..?

Anything at all would suffice.
