Problem solved.
Except for the quoted version.
Then can you change it?
Already fixed on my end, now you must fix the one where you told me you fixed it.
I completely forgot the exact thing I wrote when I edited my first post, so I improvised.

Should work fine though.
I just opy-pasted what you wrote, but Cake should work fine, I actually had cake for brekkies

Wait what?

As far as I am concerned don't you need to sign in with your profile to play downloaded games?

I have separate accounts on my PS3 and Xbox (for different members of the house) and they cannot play a game on their profile if someone downloads it from another profile.
Actually, as long as you save the file on the PS3, other accounts can play it.

I bought Megaman 9 on my account, and my friend has played it on his lots of times.
But...

What?

I can't...
The most likely reason is that the account that you got the game from is not activated on your PS3 or you simply just deleted that profile from your PS3. Both of those will prevent you from playing DLgames from other people.

If I am correct, and I am pretty sure this is right because friends have asked me for this, "GameSharing" is when you trade account info to download games that the other person bought.
Oooh, I see.

That is ban-worthy.

OT: Are you asking for help to lure the system? It seems like you want info on this so that you can do it without getting caught. That is report-worthy. Answer, and don't be afraid because the Spanish Inquisition won't come.
Don't fuck with the Spanish Inquisition dude.

They will mess you up GOOD!

You know, just in his defense...

The company (the MAN!) doesn't like when you let your friends watch your movies or listen to your music or play your games, either. So I wouldn't be so sorry about breaking a few rules.
This is why I'm sticking to buying hard disc copies and not surccumbing to download. I bought the game. I lend it to whoever I want. If gaming does ever transfer completely to obtaining solely through download and DRM, I'll never buy games again. at leat I'll always have the Dreamcast.

Whilst we're here, may I ask, with PS3 games are there any hard disk ones that you have to go on the internet to activate or play? When I eventually get round to owning one I don't plan to go online with it. Would that ever pose as a problem for me?

YOU LOANED YOUR GAME TO A FRIEND! HOW DARE YOU!!!

Definitely ban-worthy. He should've just loaned his friend the disc... er, um. Yeah.

WTH do companies expect? Friends have been loaning each other games since games 1st came out. This just shows another shortcoming of DLC, and makes the companies look that much greedier & controlling.

Remember back when you could play a game you bought without ever having to be online?
Remember when you could loan a friend a game & not get in trouble?
Remember when you could sell a game when you were done with it?

Whether he shares his game with a stranger or with a friend, the principle is the same. DLC is only different because there's no physical media to share. It's not even as simple as just taking our HDD to a friend's house. (At least not with the 360. I don't know about the PS3, but even then ALL your games' saves & data have to be loaned out to loan just one out.)

i dont have any idea how the ps3 download and file tranfers work but on the 360, if i take out my HD and put it in my friend's xbox, i cant access any dlc, it must inputted into the box that it was downloaded into for access to those files.
Actually, with xbox 360, if you take your HDD and put it in another console, as long as you download it again you can play the DLC.

OP: To be honest, you deserved it. its pretty much stealing, not sharing.

Actually you can. It is just online only. If you are offline your game will just show up as a trial version.

And what you did is no better than DLing it from a torrent site. Or in your case uplaoding it as well.

It's their rules. And this isn't lending a game, it's using the system to get others free copies of DLC, which is pretty much just like piracy. Something that is supposed to be used by one person is used by two or more at the same time.

Whether this is morally right or wrong is all opinions, so don't try to come and tell me I'm wrong.

Perhaps the guy you traded with was a mole, an agent provocateur? they lure people in like that, if they get tricked then they bag em and tag em, all for the sake of good statistics. That's my theory anyway.

Well there are a few games that I know of that only have a online component and no single player. Warhawk and the soon to be released MAG, and The Agency.

Ahh geez I just reread that. I didn't mean you ButanicXpandA in the second part. Oh and any DLC won't register at all if you are offline. So if you have a save with DLC it may not work.

My point is the whole concept of DLC & their restrictions is gimped and flawed to begin with. People try to do what they've always done with their games, but suddenly now they're breaking rules. They can't loan their game to a friend without committing piracy. That's lame. That's my point. They shouldn't call it "purchasing DLC." They should call it what it is: "Paying for a long term rental of a game with lots of restrictions." Of course, that's not good marketing, is it?

By the way, since when is morality & right & wrong a matter of opinion? I say your assessment of the situation is wrong.

Yeah. I said it. You're wrong!
