gamestop is about as worthless as the Conker: lined and reloaded game. they suck oh so badly. im not gonna buy a game at them ever unless every other gameshop in denmark gets airstriked.

Your average Walmart Electronic department is staffed by a caveman who can just about point in the right direction when asked where certain things are without going into a catatonic fit.

by the way, those cavemen pull down 50k a year at a management position without a college degree, with one you can make up to 75k starting

Really though, having worked in retail I got to ask what do you expect? They can't populate EVERY job with gamers, which means not every person is going to have passion. That means your going to get dicks, assholes, and barely there bodies that get nothing done, like with any retail job. If your lucky these people are in the minority because they take customer service seriously, but every retail place has at least 1 lazy employee, one dickwad (usually middlemanagement or in charge of the budget), 1 employee who never shows up on time and has to be constantly prodded to work so you wonder WHY they aren't fired, etc etc.

It's interesting that you should say that, since over here game retailers don't even hire gamers. They hire the 20-ish young, blonde, women that played Mario Kart during a party on a friends Wii 2 years ago.

But in all fairness though, I did talk to a metalhead over in the nearest gamestore for 20 or so minutes before I decided to buy something. Hell, I even just applied for a job in a store that specifically asked for people 'serious' about gaming.

I have no problems with gamestop....cheap games, and the staff is usually pretty cool.

What do you mean cheap games, the new ones are normal price and the used games normally not complete or in good condition. They also are around $5 cheaper than the new ones. AKA not worth it.

Or Eb games.
That pretty much means i have to go to wal-mart, Target or a Hollywood video place

If you're buying newer games you don't get much of a deal. But my point was if you want to buy older games, you can get them at Gamestop for relatively cheap.

If you are buying used, buy off the internet (Ebay Amazon.com) Same quality, but much cheaper price. Watch Zero Originality for examples

I love my Game Stop. I can get my geek on with the staff that usually has my husband pushing me to the door. They don't hassle me about the things corporate makes them do and know the games I love. Plus it's spacious and not cramped like most Game Stop locations seem to be.

Relatively? Compared to what? I've never seen gamestop being significantly cheaper than another game store.

Gamestop is also making a move here in Ireland. We really only have two retail shops that specialise in games, Gamestop and GAME. Personally, they are both good in their own way.

How is gamestop good?
