I just heard that gamestop is having a sale this weekend, buy 2 used games get 1 free... anyone know if that is true?

Not really. And it's limit of 3 games and I don't think you can combine it with your discount from the edge card either.

It is if you let them convince you into buying a PS3 with your 360 game. Its like your saving money!

Normaly I don't give this sort of answer but...

Google it, or even better call the store and ask, I'm sure they would be happy to give you plenty of information because it makes it more likely than you will buy from them.

But sure, why not ask a bunch of random people on the internet, the internet after all is well known for its accuracy regarding advice and information.

I can't help because we don't have Gamestop where I live.

The coupon in the newsletter? You can combine your Edge card with it. I combine mine with their coupons all the time. I combined it with this one too.

I hate how they try to sell you a guide to go with a game to save 5 bucks off the game when the guide is 20 bucks. So you just spending an extra 15 bucks if you didn't want the guide to start.

God gamestop sucks, why people shop their is beyond me.

I shop there becaue they'll generally have older games that I want. I don't normally buy games right as they come out, so if I wait too long Best Buy, Walmart, Kmart, Sears, or whereever may not have the game I'm looking for.

Still an unusual event at any rate.
I may just go to the one tolerable Gamestop in NYC: the one under Rockefeller Center - their prices still suck but they don't spend a half hour looking for your game, they don't make you wait on line for a half hour, they don't try to sell you crappy magazine subscriptions, and you can get a new game without preordering.

I just used my 20% off coupon, I wish I saw this earlier...

I don't get the hate towards GameStop. I've used other game stores and they seem disorganized or just have higher prices than GameStop. The ones I go to have a staff that actually knows what they're talking about, are friendly and have reasonable prices. Also, I'm tolerable when it comes to them trying to sell me something, I know they're supposed to do that.
I guess my area in Chicago just has good GameStop stores.
