huh?

a pichu with red cheeks?
who the fuck cares?

a cherish ball and a... spiky... eared pichu?

useless.

cherish balls are just pokeballs.
even if you retained the spiky ears on a raichu, its still not a great pokemon... theres far better pure electrics, and sweet kiss doesnt really make up for it.

Until your friends with the workers. I got Pichu and the Jirachi one (Starts in Feb)
I already had a Jirachi all the way back from Pokemon Coliseum one. I preordered and got a dick for a Jirachi per Sapphire/Ruby game pack
Same here.

Aw, I got excited when I saw this title. They had to make it a Pichu, godammit...

An Everstone is a held item that stops a Pokemon from evolving forever. It's pointless (though maybe not in this case), and easy to get elsewhere. As for the Cherish Ball, I have no idea what it is other than that it's a special Poke Ball.

Maybe if it was a shiny Ho-oh or something, then I'd consider it.
A shiny Ho-oh would totally make it worth it for me, but when it's a Pichu with different colours then yeah... I agree. I am still going to buy the game though, so why not get the Pichu anyway? I mean, it's not like I waste anything I wouldn't waste anyway... well, I do have pride in not going to gamestop for my needs though... Gold, silver and Crystal were the best games of the series since they had more stuff than any of the others.

Curse my stupidity.
I blame video games
The Department of Defense [http://www.defense.gov/news/newsarticle.aspx?id=57695] disagrees with you. (sorry, the irony of that statement and an article about gamers being smarter was just to delicious)

Anyway, doubt I'll go for the downloadable Pokemon, but I am excited for HeartGold and SoulSilver. Gold and Silver hold fond memories for me, and I hope to see the reboot does them justice.

i dropped of the pokemon band wagon when i became clear that Ash ketchem was not going to "catch em all" and the most pokemon he ever caught was a herd of tarus he has at oaks place (may be he secretly wanted to be a cowboy rather than twaddling around across 4 countries.)if he is not gonna catch them all, why the fuck do i have to?! I stopped at ruby. How bout they give us the pokemon pedometer so we can train our pokemon while actually living our lives, oh but japan only gets that. hell all i wanted was a fucking mew. you keep telling us to catch them all but we can't actually do that with out cheating what is the real point. i don't want to debase myself by traveling to pokemon conventions to get rare pokemon that the japanese actually received in game with out doing anything. you know what i got a new idea for a topic now...

The main draw for this thing, in case anyone is not up on their Pokemans, is that it will let the player ultimately get a flying, surfing, volt-tackling pikachu in HG/SS. These moves are not moves normally learned by a pikachu, and as such makes it kinda badass. I just 'happened' to preorder Bioshock 2, so I'll be back at Gamestop to pick up a couple of these rats while this promotion is going on...

I'm not sure if anyone else has pointed out the small difference in this Pichu, but I'll insert my knowledge:
It's IVs are pre-determined, and it has a fair lot of them. It also knows a move you generally have to breed it specifically to do (Volt Tackle is said move). Also when Pichu is traded over and you receive the Spikey Eared Pichu, the new Pichu knows moves Pichu can't normally learn, which are Pain Split and Swagger.

The main drawback is that the Spikey Eared Pichu cannot be traded or evolved, though. It's alright, it's just for nostalgia anyways.

Yeah, other than the fact that the Pichu is shiny and has the same coloration as Pikachu, I do not see the real point of getting the Pichu as far as being able to get the "Spiky Eared" Pichu. (Note: yes I did go to Gamestop to get the Pichu)

It would make sense if the "Spiky Eared" Pichu had a link to Arceus, since the movie "Pokemon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life" is where both Pokemon come from, but Nintendo already had an event back in November where they gave away Arceus, so I still do not know what the point is.

(Note: I also went to Toys R Us to get Arceus...I'm a helpless nerd, I know)
