EB games and Gamestop are actually rival franchises!
Actually they're not since EB was bought out by gamestop... several years ago.

Gamestop adjusts its prices on a daily basis, based on their price database. The reason you might find a game for the same price as a special edition price every so often is usually because the special edition wasn't selling as well as the regular edition was, so they were getting stuck with stock.

Gamestop price fixing is actually a really underhanded practice. I'd never sell a game back to gamestop, they'll give you 5$ for it and turn around and sell it for 5$ less than the retail price. Shop for games on amazon whenever you can. Stick it to Gamestop.

It's a canadian Gamestop so all the cases are filled with backbacon and Elsignor beer.
My version of Oblivion I got from Gamestop had a mouse in the case.
A friend of mine (a cop) played it; and he puked eh?
I love Strange Brew.

Where do we go Loony Bin or Gamestop?

Seriously though, if Gamestop has the same prices for both, they probably raised the price of the original once the GOTY came in because they wanted to get rid of it and know that some moron will buy it without realizing.
