Inspired by Extra Credits' 'Gamification' article, for April Fools I wanted to make a funny topic for all of us who have jobs (most of us, I hope).

If your job was a game, what kind of review would you give it? No job is perfect, but try to mention both the good and bad points like a reviewer would even if you don't want to mention what it actually is.

My job has schizophrenic difficulty and is not very rewarding but it doesn't punish you too much for messing up. It has a colorful cast of characters that make the luck-based encounters more bearable, and they all show up for a good ending, even celebrating your birthday.

I dunno, I'm kinda a tech support version of George Clooney in Up In The Air. Except replace the first class plane trips with shitty rental cars and the upscale hotels with roadside dumps and sadly, oh SO sadly, I don't get the satisfaction of firing anyone. Don't reckon there is much of a game in that. Although in some of these backwater hick towns you could possibly create a mini games of "find the minority" or some such thing.

Heh. I approve of this topic.

Let's see now...

The playtime is shorter then a CoD campaign. But that's a good thing since the gameplay is fucking awful and incredibly repetitive. There isn't any story worthy of the word. The characters are terribly bland, with the protagonist in particular being extremely boring. The only good part about this game is the satisfaction you will feel when you finally get to turn it off after finding a better one.

Erm, I'm studying physics.. so attending lectures is doing fetch quests, studying is XP grinding and getting a good grade at tests is leveling up, I suppose?

I'm getting steady B ranks at the tutorials.
Unfortunately it is no test of skill since stupider people seem to do better.
All characters are generic or boringly trying to stand out, but there are a few mysterious ones that we hope to find out more later in the story.

i.e I'm still in education

This is an American RPG that clearly pays homage to the JRPG genre. The cast is enormous and hard to keep track of, but you will undoubtedly find yourself drawn to a particular character. There is an EVE-like stat system that will get VERY confusing VERY fast. On the plus side, the story is outstanding, even though it may be a bit long. There are grinding missions that take up quite a bit of time, and they are mandatory, which is horrible. The moral choice system is very convoluted and I found that after a while, everybody hated me for no reason I could see. I'll have to stop playing this game lest I keep playing it for the 11,700 hours it will take to complete.
(I'm a college student, btw.)

Boring game with quests that just feel like tedious chores. The environments are all grey and depressing, the NPC's are all lifeless and their AI is often quite questionable in the descisions they make.
