Liking Modern Warfare 2; I absolutely adored Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare and Infinity Ward's previous Call of Duty titles but MW2 - it was just awful.

I really, really hate fanboys. I personally love the shit out of Half-Life, but if someone dislikes it, it's their opinion. I won't call them an idiot or anything unless they say something actually offensive (i.e "[insert game name] IS SO SHIT, GOD EVERYTHING ABOUT IT SUCKS I WISH IT WAS NEVER RELEASED EVER BECAUSE IT'S SO PATHETIC, I WANT IT TO DIE!!"), in which case I'll just discontinue the conversation.
That's certainly no gaming sin, that's something to be praised in gaming discussion nowadays.

but I also hated Final Fantasy 7,
I also didn't like it, they made it so the story wasn't half as compelling as it could have been and the gameplay felt a bit off. I feel that FF9 made the levelling up/abilities system a lot easier.

-I couldn't get into Fallout 3, even though I really wanted to. I love Oblivion though, which has led me to surmise that most people really like one and can't get into the other at all.
Nope. I have nothing but contempt for everything that exits the gaping arsehole that is Bethesda.

Payed for Oblivion and hated it, sold it to a friend after I realised there was only 5 voice actors.

Payed for Fallout 3 (I'm like a wife who goes back to the beatings dished out by her redneck husband) and though it lasted more than a few hours, I hate it because it fails to be a 'Fallout' title. The old fallout games were crafted with love and care. FO3 was made from cynicism and brown.

But i've learned my lesson, never again will Bethesda take my money.
You must hate most games if you don't like bad voice acting.

And FO3 was never going to be the same as Fallout 1 and 2 - it was released nearly 10 years later; trends change and genres die. It seems odd that you tried to treat a game in the same way as another despite the 2 being very different in playing style.

"FO3 was made from cynicism and brown."

1) How you came to the cynicism thing makes no sense
2) The first 2 games were just as brown

[small] And yes, I'm aware of the irony of defending a game I don't like.[/small]

I love FFVII so much I own a Cloud costume for those rare occasions where it's appropriate. I have played one of every pokemon pair. I can't really stand real-world-style war games, ie Call of Duty (entire series), although the moment you add a sci-fi element I will lap them up(I like the Halo series, enjoyed Legendary and Gears, thought Alien Trilogy on the PSX was excellent, etc). I was introduced to gaming by Mario, but owned a 2nd hand spectrum followed by a SEGA Master System. I never really took sides in the 90s console wars, I liked something from every camp. My favourite Mega Drive game for a long time was Cyborg Justice.

Oh, and I actually think Sonic Unleashed is by far the best 3D Sonic game, and that includes the Werehog stages (which I see as a return to some pretty tight platforming with some mediocre combat thrown in).

And I still haven't fulfilled my childhood dream of actually owning and completing (rather than playing at my brother's friend's house) Gargoyle's Quest on the Game Boy.

I'm 26 :p.

I consider your "obvious" choices utter piss. I am a hard to please gamer and i will stand to all gamers needing to be such. Game design is a several thousand years old art, and i expect people to not try to sell me shit with a ribbon.

People have different likes and dislikes, so I generally don't care, but I hate in when people don't give games a chance.

The Half-Life games were pretty un-interesting for me and the only old FF game I ever got into was FF8, and even then I only played 3 of the 4 discs.

For, finally, I have found someone else in this world that thinks Half Life is a completely boring, uninteresting, unoriginal series of garbage and yawns.
This is my gaming sin. Not because you don't like Half Life, but because you phrase it in such a way so as to incite conflict.

Hmm, I don't like HALO. As in I can't stand playing it.
Also sometimes I just quit in games. And just leave 'em unfinished.
And I played an hour of Mass Effect before laying down the controler and never played it again.

Let's see, I don't like HalfLife either, I've never played TF2, I was so bored with Fallout 3 that I uninstalled it after about 5 or 6 hours, I'm a supporter of QTEs and I genuinely enjoyed Prince of Persia 2008 (even though the combat was a pile of crap).

I still have to complete Twilight Princess and every game in the Metroid Prime Trilogy.
I don't like Ocarina of Time and Oblivion.

... that's about it, I think.

I don't have the patience for half-life games without buddha mode and instant ammo binds.

Also, I dislike Ocarina of Time past the three dungeons where you play as kid Link. I don't really like the adult Link world cause all the safe places I'd grown to love (Hyrule Castle town, Kokiri Forest, etc.) are mostly overrun with monsters.

Movie-based games are never good.
The King Kong game was pretty good, quite an original game as well, not your average shooter. The ending was rather weak though.
And the Wolverine game pissed all over the film.
