I'm sure every one of us who have played on any type of game whether it be online or off, has come across a situation which you believe warrants a "set in steel" rule. Whether it be adding or subtracting certain elements of a game, a type of behavior, etc, my question is of course which ones would you add to the list of gaming commandments?

I'll give one to start things off

1) If you are not old enough to buy the game yourself, your are not allowed to touch the microphone for that game

Reasons being obvious for those under the age of puberty, for those above but below 18, a vast majority of these players are complete asshats. I do apoligize for well-behaved teenagers, but seem to be far in-between.

Never call someone out for cheating/hacking. Few people actually do it, and it's a real big confidence booster for those actually playing fairly and still being accused.

Quit trying to hide the betrayer character in games as they're often spotted hours outside of the in game revel and thus feel cheap and unsatisfying.

Thou shalt not teabag.

When did that become an acceptable form of taunting? Hell, when did taunting become cool in the first place. Act like you've actually got a kill before.

For Online gaming:
Thou shalt not screw the party for personal gain, no matter how great.
Thou shalt listen to thy older members, for they have been through what you are about to attempt, and may be offering sage advice
Thou shalt not kill the team with thine own ego. (See: Leeroy Jenkins)

For Offline gaming:
Thou shalt not lay a hand on thy fellow gamer during a multiplayer session.
Thou shalt allow for a changing of the rules, even if they move to your disadvantage
Thou shalt not cheese/spam within games and call that skill

Overall: Thou shalt not be a prick

1)Thou shalt not let anything block the player's view of his character. If something does block that view, the offending object shalt be made very translucent.

2)No enemy off screen shalt be able to take action to harm thine player.

3)Thou shalt make commands customizable, including the ability to invert not only the Y axis, but also the X axis for camera controls. That's mainly for 3rd person games. I don't play them much, but if the camera pan controls are opposite of what I'm used to, I get confused when the action gets hectic because I revert to what I'm used to.

4)Thou shalt not have ridiculous requirements for an achievement or game rewards. Killing over 56,000 zombies to get a great weapon is a prime example of that.

5)If thou useth AI, thine AI must be smarter than a block of wood. At the very least, if an AI character tries going forward and goes nowhere for 3 seconds, (facing a wall, for example,) that AI shall try, I dunno, going a different direction. They must also not walk off cliffs or straight into other dangers.

6)In a free roaming world, thou shalt not have impassible barriers that are shorter than the player. Nothing says ridiculous like not being able to get over a 4 foot wall. Also, don't make us jump onto something if it's low enough a normal person would just step onto it.

7)(More of a suggestion than a rule) Thou shalt include an all weapons/unlimited ammo trick. There are times I just want to let lose a bunch of destruction, and 4 grenades and 6 rockets in my launcher just isn't enough.

Thou shalt construct additional pylons.

Alright, seriously, though:

Should'st thou have no pictures or video, then thou must concede it never happened.

If thou should'st go AFK without announcement, thou hast forfeited thy right to any loot or EXP.

If thou spawn'st with it, thou art meant to use it.

Thou shalt not use the controller as a projectile - disks fly further.
