I have a Wii, a DS, and a computer that can't play anything more complex than the Source Engine. I'm caught in a game drought and need advice on what to get. I was thinking about getting Ocarina of Time on the Virtual Console, but I don't really want a Zelda right now, because I just beat Phantom Hourglass, and need a Zelda break. Any advice?

It is usually a good idea in these threads to give a list of games that you already have to stop people flooding it with titles you most likely have.

I suggest saving the money for games you are looking forward to rather than buying one simply because you haven't got any to play at the time.

You could try some old RPG's if that's your thing. Baldur's Gate, Fallout, etc. Brilliant as ever and will run on any computer.

Just install Steam. Check the catalog of lower priced games. I think you can even sort based on system requirements. I am knee deap on X-com at the moment (I think it requires a 486 to run?) There is some great gaming to be had with the classics. If you never played them before, it's new to you!

How about Super Mario RPG? Brilliant game, and it's on Virtual Console, too.
Be careful! He knows about timed hits!

I was mildly and pleasantly surprised at how fun the game was.

OT: I'd recommend Deus Ex if you haven't already got it Mr. OP.

Definitely, there are some great titles on steam for very little cost... I purchased Deus Ex, Psychonauts and Monkey Island recently for pretty much nothing. Monkey Island with a modern overhaul of course, which makes it even better than ever!

Right, sorry. Here's my list of games:
Wii
Smash Bros. Brawl
Twilight Princess
Pikmin
Metroid Prime 3
Rayman's Raving Rabbids
Mario Party 8
Lego Star Wars
Sonic Unleashed (definiitely worth it since it was a gift)
Code Lyoko
Punch Out
Toy Story Mania
TMNT Smash-Up
Star Wars Force Unleashed
Gamecube
Starfox Assault
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
Sonic Mega Collection
Metroid Prime 2 (that game can go to hell)
Rouge Squadron II
Soul Calibur II (somewhere, I lost the bag that has that and my memory card, but I know it's somewhere in my house)
Virtual Console
Mario 3
Megaman 2
Starfox 64
DS
Phantom Hourglass
Pheonix Wright 1 and 2
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
FF IV
Sonic Rush
Kirby Super Star Ultra
Starfox Command
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
GBA
Sonic Advanced
PC
Half-Life
HL2
Portal
Natural Selection

As for your point about saving money, the only games I'm looking forward to are Galaxy 2, Other M, Sonic 4, and Portal 2, and none of those are coming for quite some time.

Deus Ex and Deus Ex Invisible War now on steam for 5 dollars (FOR BOTH!) it's this weeks midweek madness deal.
WoW (if you want to get into that sort of thing)
CoD 4 (I ran it on a Pentium 4, 1GB ram and 256 graphics card)
Age of Empires III
Warcraft III and Frozen Throne Expansion
Diablo 1 and II (and Lord of Destruction Expansion for Diablo II)
Titan's Quest (found a 10 dollar copy of it that included the expansion at Future Shop, check steam too)
Torchlight
SW:Battlefront 2
Any and all Half Life Mods (Eternal Silence, Dystopia, Insurgency, Zombie Panic!, etc.)
The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion (ran this too on my shit Pentium 4 PC)
Starcraft & Brood War Expansion
Freelancer (if you find it you can tell me where I miss that game so much)
Sid Meier's Pirates (I really enjoyed this game... it's just fun.)
Civilization (also from Sid Meier)
Unreal Tournament 2004 (ppl still play the shit out of it)
Doom 3 (I'm sure would run if u can run Source games)
Grand Theft Auto (all the ones before GTA IV)
Left 4 Dead (also ran on my shitty rig. L4D2 probs works for you too and it is Source)
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2
Jumpgate Evolution (according to their current system requirements this game will run on almst any system. Just need to actually release it now!)

There are probably hundreds more, I just don't feel like listing them all! :p

Also try looking at websites like http://www.gamigo.com/, http://www.ijji.com/, or any other places that offer free 2 play online games. (I really like ijji they have really well made games)

Since you've got a Wii I advise you to take up an interest in 'Red Steel 2'.
The 'No More Heroes' games might be worth your interest too!

It would help if we knew what was in your computer. I have a fairly shit card (8500GT Overclocked), and I can play Mass Effect 1 near maxed at 1280x1024, as well as UT3, Bioshock,The Witcher, etc, so your gaming limit may not be as small as you think.

Yeah and I'm running (no longer my shit Pentium 4 lol) Quad core AMD Phenom (think it's 9550), 4 GBs of ram, and an ATI Radeon 3650 (512MB) and it runs Crysis on medium. So like Gaderael said, we need to know your specific specs, and I could increase that PC list by a LOT I bet.

Other PC games I may have missed in my original list:

The Elder Scrolls III : Morrowind
Dark Messiah Might & Magic (this is a big maybe though, it runs on Source, but I've had issues with it on my laptop)
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2142 (these still have large communities and are very fun games. They are also more loyal to the Battlefield franchise than Bad Company is since they have the enormous battlefields and vehicle combat that the series is known for.)
Half-Life : Source
Half-Life 2 (Episode 1 and Episode 2 as well)
Counter Strike : Source
Team Fortress 2
Unreal Tournament 3 (this also ran on my old crappy Pentium 4 rig)
Company of Heroes & expansion too (ran on old rig)
Tomb Raider Legend (ran on old rig, Anniversary and Underworld probably would work too)
Star Trek Voyager Elite Force 1 & 2 (if you can find them, those were fun)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (the first ones were nice)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six (from the original to Raven Shield they are pretty sweet)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (I'm sure you can run the original one and maybe Pandora Tomorrow)
Neverwinter Nights (first one should run no prob the 2nd will need to be turned down a lot but ran on my old rig)
Baldur's Gate 1 & 2
