I'm curious, if you could make a game of any genre starring any two characters from any gaming series, who would they be? And for their specific choices, why would they kick ass at what they do? They could be heroes or villains, but hit me with what you've got.

My idea is pretty generic as I'm more interested in creating this actual thread than racking my brain trying to think of the best combination, but I'm sure everyone here remembers the old sandboxes "[PROTOTYPE]" and "inFamous". A mash up of those games, starring Alex Mercer as the psycho who tears enemies limb from limb in hand-to-hand combat and Cole McGrath (sp?) who rips shit up with electrical storms and lightning strikes. It'd be an interesting twist and could even be played co-op. Each character has plenty to lend the other (Cole can use polarity shields, conjure thunder storms and travel at blistering speeds across metal surfaces, whereas Alex can both run and jump to ridiculous degrees and traverse the landscape faster, including the use of vehicles). I'm imagining a mechanic similar to Army of Two with the polarity shield, with Mercer using the extendo-arm or guns to cause havoc from right behind Cole.

It could also breed development for both characters including (inFamous spoilers)
Kessler's teleport abilities and cloning abilities

Anyway, what do you guys think? Would you like to see a game where Marcus Fenix and Tequila Yuen (from Stranglehold) battle side by side, or maybe a game where the Prince of Persia shows Faith a thing or two about acrobatics?

I'm picturing an action-adventure-puzzle-solving game teaming up...oh, let's say...

Kratos and the Prince of Persia.

This would be in the style of a "buddy cop" action/comedy picture, where they don't get along at first but eventually learn to appreciate each others' abilities and skills (i.e. Kratos handles the killing of every opponent they run into and the Prince does the acrobatic stuff to solve puzzles and unlock new pathways for them to traverse.)

I can already picture the opening conversation:

KRATOS: "So who are you?"
POP: "I am the Prince of Persia!"
KRATOS: "Hmmmph. I met a king of Persia once."
POP: "Oh yes? And what happened?"
KRATOS: "I beat his skull in with one of his own treasure chests."

(pause)

POP: "Well...let's...um...move on then, shall we?"

Along the way, there will be:

ACTION!

POP: "Oh no, there's an entire legion of sand-guards blocking the entrance! What to do, what to do...I know! I see a path to get around them...I'll just run up this wall, vault to that pole, then to THAT pole, run along that wall stretch, bounce off that shutter, tiptoe along that beam, slide down that banner, jump to..."

KRATOS: "RRRAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHH!" (Jumps out, Blades a-flyin', kills aforementioned entire legion of sand-guards)

(pause)

POP: "All right, that...um...works too..."

CHARACTER COOPERATION!

KRATOS: "You want to slow down time so we can get past this or should I?"
POP: "Tell you what, you slow it down and if we screw it up, I'll rewind it."
KRATOS: "Deal."

ROMANCE!

KRATOS: "Who is that?"
POP: "The woman in the red dress? That's the Empress of Time!"

(brief pause)

EMPRESS: "Why is there a glowing yellow circle floating over my head?"
