So right now I have a ATI Radeon HD 5670 512mb gpu which is okay for some modern games but I need something with a little more oomph. So suggestions in the £60-£80 range please.

I really like the GeForce GT540M [1GB dedicated memory] my laptop has. It handles things quite well, and with a little in-game graphic adjustment, you get pretty great frame-rate for many games ^.^ It's generally a balanced graphics card, with great performance and battery saving. I couldn't for the life of me find a price though >.< But this one is generally aimed at the gaming audience, and was equipped with my i7 quad-core comp, so it must be good enough. Just be sure to have some power in the rest of the comp to back it up. Hope that helped! :3

I really don't think that anything in that price range will be a good replacement.
You'll gain a few FPSes, for a moment it will be better, but your new card will become obsolete pretty soon. I'd encourage you to amass a little more money and try something more powerful, like maybe Ti560 GTX chipset based cards.

It's not some holy bible of graphic cards, but it'll do.

80 pounds? May as well be 80p mate, its hardly worth looking at anything below 150 pounds.

Buying a graphics card today, it should have minimum 1.5GB, probably 2GB, DX 11, be AMD, and will likely cost around 200 pounds.

Alright, here's the closest thing you'll probably find, I can't understand british postcodes, I punched in N91KF and it seemed to like it, so its free postage to there.

Yeah, I would suggest the 6770 but waiting like you said is a better idea.
Exactly - one must think not about present day, but about future. With current pace of technological breakthroughs it's risky to invest even a few bucks into pretty much outdated hardware.

Everything what's below mid-to-high range (in terms of "horsepower" ;) is a waste of money and even some cards from this sector, that are still considered "useful" won't be enough for newer generation of games. Unfortunately. :|

Edit :
And since other guys were so kind to provide some model, here...

...you may check possible advantages and disadvantages of such replacement. :)

tbh you don't need 2gb, just 1gb and DX11 and most are around £100 like the GTX460 and Radeon 6700 series

I think this is a flawed analysis, as the cards you reccomend are the 'minimum' that current games need, twice that amount of video ram will last more than twice as long, and won't cost twice as much. For a real investment, spending more now will save you more later.

its the minimum for high specs becuase hell i know people that still run games like Skyrim fine on GTX 260's (thats on about medium settings)
but right now 2GB its probably only worth for future proofing it for the next year or so
