I really don't think that anything in that price range will be a good replacement.DustlessDragoon said:So right now I have a ATI Radeon HD 5670 512mb gpu which is okay for some modern games but I need something with a little more oomph. So suggestions in the £60-£80 range please.
80 pounds? May as well be 80p mate, its hardly worth looking at anything below 150 pounds.DustlessDragoon said:So right now I have a ATI Radeon HD 5670 512mb gpu which is okay for some modern games but I need something with a little more oomph. So suggestions in the £60-£80 range please.
Exactly - one must think not about present day, but about future. With current pace of technological breakthroughs it's risky to invest even a few bucks into pretty much outdated hardware.Matthew94 said:Yeah, I would suggest the 6770 but waiting like you said is a better idea.
tbh you don't need 2gb, just 1gb and DX11 and most are around £100 like the GTX460 and Radeon 6700 seriesConza said:80 pounds? Buying a graphics card today, it should have minimum 1.5GB, probably 2GB, DX 11, be AMD, and will likely cost around 200 pounds.
I think this is a flawed analysis, as the cards you reccomend are the 'minimum' that current games need, twice that amount of video ram will last more than twice as long, and won't cost twice as much. For a real investment, spending more now will save you more later.Musiclly enhanced said:tbh you don't need 2gb, just 1gb and DX11 and most are around £100 like the GTX460 and Radeon 6700 seriesConza said:80 pounds?
