What are some things you personally choose to believe or speculate about video game worlds, stories or characters? I'm talking about the theories or thoughts you subscribe to that aren't the official explanation, aren't widely believed by fans, or are just plain silly ideas that you choose to believe because they make you laugh.
An example of mine: I choose to believe that the protagonist in all The Elder Scrolls games is actually the same person. They're an agent of some higher power, or indeed a higher power themselves who is effectively summoned to great events. They waking up in a new life and a new time periodusually in a prison for the express purpose of changing and influencing history in a manner that befits the divine plan. Whether they are doing this consciously, or whether they keep waking up in new lives with no memory is up for speculation, but the games are much more exciting when played from the perspective of being a cosmic secret agent who is exactly the same character from the last game.
