Ive generally disdained from laptops as overpriced for what they are but I now need one and would like a pretty high end one.

Unfortunately, given that my extent of knowledge of gaming laptop sellers is Alienware and Razor they are very much living upto my expectation of horrifically expensive (and since Im UK the Razor blade is a lot more expensive than it looks cos of import duties)

Does anyone know of any other high end laptop sellers so I can have a proper shop around?

I recommend a Dell Studio XPS laptop. They are not marketed as gaming PCs but they are very good. I have a lot of good experience with Dell in general.

Take a look at Sager/Clevo (they're basically the exact same computers). I bought a Sager computer last year and have had a fantastic experience with it. I highly recommend taking a look.

Also, avoid HP at all costs. Not only do their computers come infested with a ridiculous amount of bloatware, but they also happen to be the least reliable of all major laptop brands. There is no good reason that you should subject yourself to using one of these pieces of crap.

Inb4 entirely unhelpful comments telling you to get a PC instead.

Since you're in the UK, try out this site http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ you can customise your specifications and get rid of the stuff you don't need which saves money, and turns out to be cheaper than a lot of branded ones while being as powerful as you want it to be.
