I love music and i love gaming. Sometimes even games with great sounds get repetative and i want to hear my own music. The problem is if i play my own music while playing a game i cannot hear some important things such as speech (which can be replaced by subtitles but you don;t get the same effect) because the music cannot fade or pause when you are being talked to so i need to alt+tab which is tedious and i also must do this when changing songs.

Is there a program out there that allows you to have a small unobtrusive media bar that appears on your screen wven when in-game that you can use to play your music while playing the game.

Do you guys even like this idea or find it stupid? I think it could make money but that is just me :p

it is a good idea, and I know what you mean. They tried to do it on 360, but really, you need a couple more buttons, one to pause music, and one to skip tracks. A couple on the back of a controller would do it, rather than having to press the (X) button. I think there would be money in it, or maybe its already out there. Dunno.

If you are talking about PC games you could always run it in a window and have WMP minimised into that little taskbar thing is has.

I'm sure google would find you what you seak as well.

I have my media player mapped to one of my programmable hotkeys on my computer. I have it so depending on what key I press it will not only open up the player, but a specific play list I compiled depending on what game i am playing. So if i am playing an FPS, i launch my playlift containing all sorts of hard rock, metal and stuff like that. You could try something like that.
