Right now I own a Logitech MX518 mouse. It's a great mouse, but it's deteriorating, and it's too big and oddly shaped to feel comfortable in my hand. As I type this, I am sitting in my school's library using one of the most comfortable of mice I have used in a long time - This $10 Logitech. A bunch of little things bug me about the MX518. The size, the shape and even the texture of the plastic. Most of the problems arise because it was designed for the Palm Grip [http://www.pwngamer.com/system/files/u1/palm_grip.jpg] or Flat Finger Grip. [http://www.pwngamer.com/system/files/u1/flat_finger.jpg] I am most comfortable with the Claw Grip. [http://www.pwngamer.com/system/files/u1/claw_grip.jpg]
It is simply too big for my hand.
The shape is very odd and the side buttons are placed too high for my thumb to comfortably reach.
It has a smooth, plastic exterior (The latex coating wore off) that makes my hand feel very uncomfortable. It's because my palm gets sweaty while using a mouse, which is also the reason I don't like to use shiny plastic guitar picks.
The cheap Logitech mouse I am using is perfectly shape, sized, and feels great. The only problems are that it lacks the precision of the MX518 and side/sensitivity buttons. The plastic is textured and dulled to look at, like the beige plastic old monitors and keyboards have. (A good thing.)
I have narrowed down my choices to the Razer Deathadder and Copperhead. They both appear to be a very similar shape to the Logitech, with the same style of plastic. They are also similar to the MX518 in features and performance. I do not have access to a computer store in my town because I live in the middle of nowhere, and will probably be ordering from a website. Which do you recommend?
