Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth:

"Why, I'm just going to go ahead and sleep in this fishy hotel in Innsmouth. Surely nothing will go wrong as long as I lock the door, right?"

Seconds later,

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Beat me to it, this made me panic a lot.
Yeah, same thing here. I had to stop playing for a while, because my hands were shaking so much that I couldn't close the damn latches.

Also Dragon Age: Origins, when Leliana confronted me about sleeping with Morrigan, after I'd lied to her the previous time.

Most panicky moment for me was when playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC with L.U.R.K. mod (playing on master). I was planning to do a simple side mission in one of the early areas of the game, which went very badly due to a couple of idiotic mistakes on my part. First, I forgot to buy ammo which I really needed. Second, I left in the evening, not realising that night in L.U.R.K. is literally a black screen. Third, I misread my map or something.
The result: me getting lost without realising it, and suddenly finding myself in the bloodsucker village in the middle of the night with just a handful of rounds left. I think I killed two of them with great effort, but then I was down to two or three rounds left for my pistol, and nothing else. I heard something getting close so I freaked out and for some reason decided the best course of action would be to hide rather than to run away, so I run into one of the houses and head for the cellar. Feeling relatively safe, I switched off night vision because I wasn't sure if the AI can hear the noise it makes. I waited there for a while, and thought I'd carefully try to make my way to safety as I hadn't heard any further bloodsucker-related sounds.
I switch on my night vision again, and that's when I notice there's a bloodsucker right in my face, who has apparently been waiting for this very moment, laughing quietly to himself in anticipation of the shitstain that was to form in my pants. I ran like I've never run before in that game, and never again went anywhere near the bloodsucker village in the evenings during that playthrough.

What's "Tsssss" come from?
Minecraft. Creepers are scary fellas.
This is your answer. Creepers' entire goal in life is to screw up whatever you are building. They are big jerks. :(

I think he's referring to the creepers in Minecraft.

Mine comes from RTS games at any point when I realize I'm losing; you spend a long period of time preparing yourself for the showdown, so to have that delayed feeling of loss kinda gets you racing. Still, by then if you're not prepared, you're dead.

Conker's Bad Fur Day/Live and Reloaded. When you're escaping the compound, after defeating the experiment, and all off the Tediz jump out at you suddenly and the music jumps. Even if you know it's coming, you can't not freak out a little each time.

Thankyou. So much. For posting this.
Same here, I thought I was the only one.

oh, and also in any videogame where I start a questline and realize I forgot to buy healants. It becomes a pause-fest-tactical nightmare to avoid damage.

Diablo 2 made me sweat at times, playing as a Vengeance Paladin. The "OH SHI-" moments when you're surrounded and taking more damage than you can get back without using ALL YOUR DAMN REJUV POTS...

Games ALWAYS scare me, but Fallout scared me - I didn't feel scared fighting outside, and I wasn't scared fighting people or robots, but anything else while inside never failed to frighten me.

Most tense moment was when I was fighting Duriel in Diablo 2 on Nightmare difficulty. I was already challenging myself to using only lightning spells. Had to slowly pick at him by using Thunder Storm and Nova while he chased me around that small as hell room. And I was so surprised that I never died.

Every single enemy encounter in Fatal Frame 2.

"Where is... AAH! There it is! I Almost got the shot... GOT IT! Whew... Aw crap it's still here.. Where is it OH GOD IT'S RIGHT BEHIND ME RRRRRUUUUUUUNNNNN! *pant pant* Where did it g- IT'S IN THE FLOOR! OH GOD, THERE ARE THREE OF THEM!!! THEY'RE COMING OUT OF THE FLOOR! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"

Every fight goes exactly like that. I'm a horror junky and even I can only handle so much of that game at a time...
