there are plenty fo things annoying in games, but there are some things that are repeated over and over again that make me pop a vein in my neck.

I hate it when parents allow their ten year olds to play M rated games
I hate it when developers are to lazy to animate their cutscenes
I hate cookie cutter games that don't change a thing form previous games or other games in the genre
I really hate 10 year olds play M rated games online

so I wanna know what pisses other people off in games

i hate having to play the same level twice with a slight tweak. i hate it when they give you shity descriptions of what to do next or where to go. and i REALLY it when you cant skip cutscenes. never would have beaten mass effect if it wasnt for the x button.

I hate FPS's that make me sea sick cause the camera is a piece of crap and zoomed in too much.

I hate how developers rely on a name to sell a game instead of a new Idea.

I hate how most people would rather play an updated version of Madden every year instead of something new and original, like Okami which I bought right away just to support it in my own little way, BTW the game was awesome.

I hate sequels that are the same thing as before
I hate how most wii games are just gimicks

Okami was a shining example of brilliant game design. I also liked Clovers other games.

I HATE it when people become 133t speaking fanboys when you are playing a game.

I hate useless NPC allies that just get in your way (CoD4 fixed this to an extent).

Already mentioned, but it needs it again. I hate cutscenes you can't skip.

I hate auto-targeting that identifies threats as correctly as the Bush administration (GTA 3 in particular, instead of auto-targeting the five guys shooting me, I auto-target a light post...).

I hate it when people use magazine/reviewer scores to predetermine whether or not a game is good before they themselves own it. For god's sake, buy/rent the damn game before you call it golden or shit.

AND I HATE PEOPLE WHO CAMP RESPAWN LOCATIONS FOR EASY KILLS

I hate lazy developers who don't make an effort with ports, PS3 ports in particular.
This is a Warhawk specific one, but I hate people who pick up the dropship or APC and head off on their own. For those of you who don't know, those vehicles can fit up to seven people (ten if you use the dropship to transport a full jeep, which fits three)

Ugh. Any person who allows their child to play M rated games and then acts shocked when it's violent.

I totally agree. I also hate when people who never play video games (or just Madden) come and sit down next to me and try to give me advice.

I know this post is long, I have a lot of things in gaming that annoy me, so just skip this if reading bothers you.

I agree 100%, To update the point however, I hate people who only play games like Madden, Guitar Hero and Halo and try to define themselves as hardcore gamers. There's nothing wrong with those games, but they don't make you a gamer.

I hate that every time a new PC game comes out I have to modify the list of parts for the PC I don't quite have yet.

I hate prepubecent kids who squeel and talk crap when I'm playing an online game, even though they're getting their asses kicked.

I hate it when you can't pause cut-scenes and pressing start just skips them (I like to watch cut-scenes the first time I'm playing a game)

I hate that the folks at SquareEnix one day said "Hey, we have a great series here, everyone who likes our games loves how the fighting system is set up...let's change it completely and make it like an MMORPG fighting system but remove the multiplayer aspect!"

I hate 360 fanboys who use Halo 3 as a point for why the 360 is better than the PS3

I hate PS3 fanboys who use Blu-Ray as a point for why the PS3 is better than the 360, if I wanted a kickass DVD player I'd buy one, I buy consoles for the games.

But most of all I hate experienced players of online games who are intolerant of people just because they have a lower level/experience level. Not everyone who's just starting out is a noob, we're just new, and one day we'll be kicking your ass :D

I hate the extensive use of sewer levels in games.
I hate it when human enemies don´t die from a buckshot to the face (OK that doesn´t happen so often nowadays).
I hate unskippable cutscenes, but only when there´s a checkpoint before instead of after them.
I hate having to judge difficult jumps in FPSes.

I hate that between 19:00-00:00 I have to mute every other player to be able to enjoy a multiplayer game on the x360

I hate that my brother is 5years younger than me yet catagorically better at all FPS' & Gears of War

I hate threads like this that remind me how much I hate computer games & the people who play them. Then I hate myself for realising that I am what I hate.

I hate sport & racing sims (with the exceptions of Juiced & FIFA 2001)

I hate that Devil May Cry gets so much more attention than Onimusha

I hate shenmu. Not the game but what it has unleashed on the games industry (suppose I really should blame God of War but I havent played GoW so ill stick to what I know)

I hate my N64 for breaking & my losing all the games I had for it that I now have a real nostalgic longing for (Lylat Wars I want you back in my life :-( )

One other thing I hate is back seat gamers. you know the ones who have to tell you what to do but are unwilling to take the controller cause they suck worse than you.

Oh yeah and I have to agree that I hate escort missions. God why can't they even f'n walk along with you. Make an ai stupid but that follows you and possibly shoots stuff other than you.

Dungeons with no good dungeon-like stuff in 'em. Look at Oblivion as an example - the worst you could encounter there is the occasional needle trap when you walk between two walls, a piece of spiked metal on a rope that falls from the ceiling when you step on a plate, or an easily-escapable-but-fairly-obscure pit trap. Is that it?

I grew up hooked on the TV show "Knightmare" where contestants routinely had to dodge moving floors and fireballs, walk through a corridor with circular saws shooting along the walls at them, having to solve tough puzzles to proceed, etc. THAT was a dungeon. How come I don't see any of those things in modern games, or only ever as one-offs?

I don't have many, but this one gets me. I hate it when people lose at a sports game so they turn it off without saving, just so they'll have a perfect season. Why even play?
