Hi, I am a newbie to the site and love both gaming and poetry. So, having seen that there has yet to be a thread dedicated to poems about games, I thought I would start this up. Here is a poem I wrote a while ago dealing with Assassin's Creed. Let me know what you think and post some of your own works if you have any. I would like for this to be a thing.
A Creed
I once asked a brother how i should live my life.
He said: Nothing is True.
"But brother," i rebutted, "the world's full of facts.
The sun is hot, and ice is not; how do you answer these?"
He answered thus: "We must treat things not as facts,
But as theories we should test. Its only then
A man can know what is and isn't fact.
Take not what others say without a grain of salt."
"Further more, remember this," my brother said.
Everything is Pemitted.
"But brother," I rebutted, "there are things even kings
Cannot do. The law keeps murderers at bay."
"Again you fail to understand," my brother said.
"I mean to say no man may tell you what to do.
Free will is a gift no man should squander,
One should always walk his own desired path.
