So there is all this hype over on youtube about a phenomenon known as "Rickrollin". For those who may not know what it is, its when a video title promises you something awesome and then shows you a video of a Rick Astley music video.
For instance alot of times its porn or something that is promised only to have ol' rick show up.

I started to wonder if video games have similar equivalents. like a random cut scene, or a crappy ending, or an easter egg that didnt quite make sense amongst us of sound minds.

Halo2 and the grunt birthday party came to mind.....

Ever had an experience like that? what was the biggest one you ever encountered?

E.A sent a package to advertise Dante's Inferno to Yahtzee and when he opened the package and it started to play the music nonstop. But the package also came with a hammer and goggles so Yahtzee destroyed it. Unfortunately the filming crew was out so they didn't record it.
OT: I have to say the best rickroll in a video game that I can think of is the Fuck You door.(sorry to jump on the bandwagon)

Can't remember if I've had something like that come up in a game. Never been Rickrolled before either, although one of my mates Sackrolled me. To anyone that doesn't know what that is, just google Sackrolled and go to the website.

In one of the Resident Evils there's a part where there's a woman in some lab with a vial who somehow gets killed and her last words are a melodramatic, strained sigh of "T-VIiiiRRrrrRUUUUsssss". They should put that scene in other games.

No no no, the BEST one was when Rick Astley himself Rick Rolled America in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade last year.
