I play monstrously hard Bullet Hell shooters, despite the fact that I'm patently no good at them.

I also import them from Japan at eyewatering prices for the privelege of doing so.

And then I tell you about it [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.162984]

(Although, of course, I do actually enjoy them. Because I'm weird like that).

Getting all the secret missions on Tales of Vesperia( mission 17 still mocks me) and doing them all in one run has me curses mission 4 as well.

Getting all the achievements in Eternal Sonata was torture mainly because I had to get to chapter 7, and the go back through to dungeon to get to a telaporter and then hike back through
Fort Fermata, easily one of the more annoying dungeons to get to of the achievements. Also none of the score pieces were numbered so I had to constantly consult the score piece guide.I'm still trying to figure out why the hell I did it. It was kinda worth it after the hike back to get the last EZ-item in the final city/dungeon.

I tried to catch Old Crafty in Orgrimmar. Have racked up 5 hours in the Valley of Spirits without seeing the slippery bastard.

Ninja Gaiden 2 on it's hardest mode, that shit was hella fun.

Also the last level of Hitman: Bloodmoney, I refused to put down that control until it was done.I think I played an essentially 10 minutes level for about 6-7 hours.
I did it though.

I promissed myself that if i died i would restart the game until i could do it.

Fable 2:KI's puzzles get my dishonourable mind blower award.

Never for achievements or bragging rights, I will only do a sucky level IF I love the rest of the game enough to get through it!
Like sewer levels in every damn RPG I ever played ;-)

The Sloth Demon Realm in DA:O is both boring and glitchy, and i wish you could just kill the bloody thing in the first place.

Bioshock on Hard or Survivor without Vita-chambers. im never gonna get platinum, ever...

Mass Effect, the whole of it. 4th most rubbish game i ever played.

Eternal Sonata was a pretty big dissapointment, the controls, camera and battle system is kinda awful, but the graphics, story and soundtrack just wants to go on.

playing 2 hours of Dawn of War 2. ill never touch that shit again...

watching my male dwarf fuck Zevran in DA:O was so not worth the trophy. it should´ve been gold...

Has anyone played the flash game "Greg Can Jump"? Hardest damn game I've ever played...
I once spent 20 minutes doing one jump. When I finally got it, I fell to my death at the next basic pitfall. Never been quite so suicidally mad with rage in my life...

Killed the Archdemon in Dragon Age on Nightmare. Preparation took 3 days, when I finally beat it the fight took 4 hours. Had to go back to earlier saves to change choices made, get specific gear for all party members...

But I sodding did it. I wasn't sure if I was crying because of exhaustion or because of the ending.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and World At War on Veteran. At times really frustrating, but I made it. Same goes for Modern Warfare 2, although that one was a bit easier on Veteran.

Reaching the 100.000 credits trophy in 007: Quantum of Solace. If you can't imagine what it's like trying to earn a hundred thousand frigging credits on multiplayer, it takes away a few months of your life. I'm not joking, it's that time absorbing and it was the only trophy I was missing for that game.

Finishing Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising on Hardcore. I dare you to try it. I really dare you.

For me, it is finding every treasure on both Uncharteds (still working on Uncharted 2) and finding every Riddler puzzle on Batman AA. I'm so pig headed that I refuse to use the internet too because I somehow feel that I am not getting my monies worth if I do.

Man I have burnt a lot of hours and candles at both ends doing that.

Jesus christ...

I have 95% percent of the achievements on Left 4 Dead. including The Untouchables, which requires no one to take damage once the finale starts. Jesus motherfuckin Christ.

I beat both Modern Warfares on veteran.

I am such an achievement whore, but I never really have sought after 100% completion though.

I played Mass Effect until my soul bled. It's probably my most played game of all time. I played it through when I first got it on my old Gamertag til I had all the achievements except a couple of ally achievements, some of the engineer achievements, and the Hardcore and Insanity difficulty setting achievements... I played it about 3 or 4 times through to get that.

Fast Forward a couple years, I hadn't played it for a while, I had a new gamertag with NO Mass Effect achievements on it, so I sit down to try and get them ALL.

I play it through once on Hard, unlock Hardcore mode, getting 100% completion for the first 2 ally achievements. Play through it on Hardcore, unlock Insanity mode, getting 100% for the second 2 ally achievements. Start to play through it on Insanity mode... realize "fuck getting 100% on Insanity, that's crazy", and just barrel through, beat it on Insanity.

Then I play the game through AGAIN on easy for the last 2 ally achievements. Then I play the game to level 10 as an Adept and get all the Adept achievements, then play to level 10 as an Engineer and get all the Engineer achievements.

apart from that, my only other real gaming accomplishment is getting a nearly 100% completion in FFX. I got all the ultimate weapons, built a set of ultimate armor with Break HP Limit for each character, beat all of the Arena Bosses, and completely reworked my sphere grid until all of my characters had all of the abilities, 999MP, 255 Str/Def/Spd/Agi/Mgk/MgD, and about 150 luck.. and about 30000HP. I even taught all my Aeons all the spells available.

The only thing I was missing was finishing up the luck, and unlocking all of the overdrive modes for all the characters... and finishing up the HP...

I played Ikaruga on the hardest difficulty with only 1 life, no continues.

I'm surprised my controller didn't break after I threw it across the room.

Haven't done this sort of thing in a while. Most recent one was Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness. Going for 100% completion on all the maps...and getting at least one of every "endpoint" Innocent Devil...and stealing an item at least once from every creature in the game...and those repetitious Towers of Evermore and Eternity...

I still have no idea why I put myself through all that.

Also, getting gold in any license test in a Gran Turismo game ><'
Heh, I feel you on that one. I played GT2 at a friend's house and liked it so much that I went ahead and bought it. Got home, popped it in, and then had to spend 3 hours taking license tests. On one of the braking tests I lost my cool and just spun the car out into the stop area and somehow got a gold mark. I never have managed to do it again.

Lolwut?

The White House level is really easy.

Now, the Boat, you try and Silent Assassin that on Professional, where guards aggro on you whilst you're getting frisked for weapons because, I dunno, they don't like baldies or something.

(I gunned my way through that with the M4 in the end)
