Recently I came up with the idea that every year from last year on I would break out my Half-Life games and play through the entire series during my Thanksgiving break. I don't know why I feel like doing this, however I just seemed to me like a great thing to do year after year as I love the Half-Life games and don't play them that much other than at this time.

So I was wondering if anyone else had similar gaming traditions that they followed like this on a yearly basis.

I replay games a lot and often return to the mountain of games that I've never completed, but never on any sort of schedule.

Me and a friend of mine started one this year, where we decided that at some point every year we get together and play through all three Halo games in co-op in one day. But, our first time took us three, because we always ended up killing each other more than the Covenant XD good times, good times.

Other than that, I usually end up playing through Chrono Trigger around Christmas time. I don't know why... it just sort of happens. Speaking of which, I better get that started soon =P

I've always played Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in versus mode with my cousins at Christmas time, and also playing Golden Axe II and Altered Beast in 2-player modes as well. However, since I beat them both in 2005, my passion for playing them both has gone away. Maybe it's time to play something else, lol.

When I got a new game for my Gamecube I would always spin the disk once before playing it.

Usually during winder vacation I compile a DVD of Quake III Frag videos, and watch them all with my buddies, who ironically aren't Quake III players at all, they just love seeing people get hammered into a pulp.

Half-life used to be the first game I booted up every time I got an upgrade, it's no longer my benchmark game, but I remember fondly the day I got my TnT2. "ZOMG! So many frames! Resolution so high!"
