i prefer to blast halo's orchestra as loud as i can to drown the assholes living next me who like to play deafeningly loud noise they call music (rap). its not music...
depends on the console, if its the DS I tend to have it on silent unless I have headphones in and then I would have it on max, but on the Wii(or anything else that would require a TV) I would have it on the standard volume of the TV.
Well, when games have great music, i actually lower the other stuff so i can hear it even better. Like in MW2, i loved the music there. Or Burnout paradise, though i did skip some of the songs.
But yeah, overall my volume is quite loud. Only when using the mic. i lower it.
It depends on what I'm using to listen to the game with. If I'm running it through my surround sound system, I crank it up as loud as I think I can get away with. If I'm just using headphones, I put it at a reasonable volume, so as not to blast out my eardrums.
Depends on the game, really. If I'm playing some roleplaying game that doesn't really require my ears, such as Dragon Age: Origins, I'll blast my current Spotify playlist instead. But if I'm playing a game where sounds are important, such as a horror game or a shooting game, then I will turn up the volume on the tv pretty loudly instead.
Usually fairly low, and with headphones on, so I can hear the wife or child. If, for some reason, I'm alone in the house, then all bets are off - I've got a nice set of Logitech 5.1 speakers, dammit! It's nice to feel an explosion now and then...
