Well, the way things went in the movie, you'd think Two Face would be back. I'd also like to see a good version of The Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer was alright. Halle Berry better GTFO. ***** keeps ruining comic book characters). Also Bane and Harley Quinn.

Christian Bale's ok.. I just wish he didn't do "the batman voice".. his bruce wayne voice is plenty gruff enough to make it believable as the dark knight.
This guy [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2yv8aT0UFc] agrees ;d
That must be the greatest video ever! And so true. Sometimes I just can't understand what he's saying in the movie. Thank god for subtitles.

Been a while since I watched the Dark Knight but didn't Two Face die at the end of it?

It's been a while since I've seen it as well, and I thought for sure that he was alive. Ten again, it's a comic book, not reason he cannot come back, I guess.

It wasn't really clear he was dead. I think they shuffled him off to Arkham and put him in a deep, dark cell.

Next villian? Gimme Catwoman. Batman's in need of a new girlfriend! No, really, he's (emotionally) at his most vulnerable now, mourning Rachel Dawes, so Catwoman's appearance would be even more devastating.

If Batman were happy... it wouldn't be Batman anymore.

Just give me bloody Harley Quinn and Bane, and we can get gold here. Bane who put Batman in his most helpless state, and Quinn who fucks with Batman's life at the request of Joker or something. Maybe even stick Ivy in there, she usually rolls with Quinn.

Just for the love of GOD don't actually go through with the CG joker I've been hearing about, please no.

I am in complete disbelief that there is now going to be a sequel to the Dark Knight! I was under the assumption that all the people involved with Dark Knight HATED making money and the idea of making a sequel would just be ABSURD. Once again, very surprised.

In all seriousness though, I'm very excited for the next installment :D

Aww man, Batman Begins wasn't all that good, and the Dark Knight sucked.... but ah well, it'll make money, and people are dumb enough to buy into it, so I guess I shouldn't surprised...

He *probably* died.

I refuse to believe it myself, but that's just because he was so good... awesome origin story, awesome effects for his face, so much potential, just to be wasted after 25 minutes

I liked it, I just thought that it was far too overrated, partially due to Heath Ledger's untimely death. I did like the darkness it had though, and part of my dislike was Batman. I hated him so much in that movie. And the Riddler is my favorite because he is the only Batman villain other than Joker and Penguin that I remember fondly.
I though it was a little bit overrated too, though the casting was perfect the acting was amazing (except for Bales annoying fake voice). It's still an amazing film, and to be honest it would be weird without a sequel - I mean, the ending scenes seemed set up to imply there would be a sequel - or was that just me that thought that.

Then again, if people think the sequel is worse, then I might think it's better. After all, I know no one else except me who loved Batman Begins so much... Stupid logic I know, plus I'm not sure if I should admit to that...

I agree, CG characters based on real people that are recognizable are just... offputting, like the Xavier at the end of the newest X-men origins movie.

there are enough people who can do Ledger's Joker impressions REALLY good, that I'm sure they can find someone to replace him... maybe as just a hannibal lecter in SIlence of the Lambs capacity.. but that could be enough if, say he had Harley Quinn working for him..

Quinn's an interesting character.. created for the animated series, but she was so popular that she just exploded into comics and other media. Pretty interesting I think.

They just shouldn't get a replacement. I don't think Nolan would have it anyway. They should just make references to him, at the most, like Quinn reading what she perceives to be love letters from Joker, or something similar. But who could really play as her?

Thread time!

Excellent. Let the endless speculation about what villains will be in it begin!

I'm thinking that it'll be either the Riddler or the Penguin. Those are both realistic villains... unless they decide to finally do one of Gotham's supervillains, like Mr.Freeze or Poison Ivy.

I love Gary Oldman.
No matter what film or role he appears in, I always find him to be highly likeable.

And what a bizarre coincidence that I should be watching Batman Begins as I read this.

If anyone asks me ill just blame IMDB, cos gary oldman might turn back into dracula and hunt me down. So basically 3 years until the next one, god why does that seem like such a long time from now?
Everything seems longer when they announce things years before they will debut...

Batman Begins was, IMO, the best superhero film to date, period. With the Dark Knight probably #2 (although I'm also partial to Iron Man).
