Sexuality should have nothing to do with it, it should be to whoever is best for the Job. Even if coincidentally that means you end up with 100% White Male Heterosexual's you should never employ a gay person just to seem more "diverse".

That's not the topic at hand, though. Sure, if someone's best for the job, you hire them. The issue would be discriminating against somebody who *would* be best for the job, just because they're LBGT.

But how do you define discrimination when the decision is based on the feelings of the interviewer? Even a 100% WASP (or 100% Gay etc.) IS diverse as long as they are the best for the job.

I get the feeling Nepotism is far more at fault than Xenophobia.

Does it really matter what sexual preference, gender or skin colour people are when applying for jobs? Surely all that matters is if the person they are hiring is right for the job at hand. Its great they are not discriminating, but is it really in a business's best interests know about their employee's private life?
