Hey, quick question for anyone doing the english test when we go back to school....

So yeah, I completely forgot to ask my teacher, what is "CRAFT OF THE WRITER"?
Just that i don't wanna revise the wrong thing.

Thanks in advance.

I`m probably wrong (in which case, hope somebody comes in to correct me as i`m sitting the exam too)but i thought the craft of the writer was things like what person (you know 1st,2nd,3rd ) you write in and things like that

well, up in scotland, I'm an english afficionado, i guess one cultural border renders my powers mute...

but i'll venture a guess, and say maybe it's his style? like sentence structure, word choice and commenting on both.

Well, i'm not really sure, because we've already done our literacy (studying the books/poems)

and we've got a media text (studying leaflets n shizzle)

so i'm not sure what else there is to do, with craft of the writer.

i hate exams.....

sounds occult to me

you know me gytha, I'm as open minded as the next gel, but I doesn't stand for no occult business.

I says, if you has something to say, you say it, if you has something to do, you do it.

You don't go sniffin' around in dark cellars, chopping the tails off rats, chantin' and dancin' in the nudd. It's bad enough when babies do it, but full grown gels? It's just immature and indecent if you were to ask me.

I don't hold with that Gytha Ogg.

Oh! The writer's craft is that particular writer's style, pretty much.

I think.

There's still poems from other cultures in Paper 2.

Id say its the writers style, i assume u will be given some sort of poem or text, you will effectively have to assess his method of writing, e.g what person does he use, what imagery, the poetic structure and why he uses these things to what effect... thats what i would assume.
