Still don't understand the uproar over Overwatch's loot boxes.
Because thanks to the randomness of the system I've been stuck for ages on 990 FunBucks while you need 1000 to buy a legendary skin. Some form of randomness is fun, but this is crap. At least give us some kind of disenchant ability like in Hearthstone, not just for doubles.

But I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the outrage. Like it doesn't take anything away from the game, its not like there's a random item that says "you cant play Overwatch for 30 minutes". Why is the presence of a completely ancillary, occasional box of nick knacks such an insult? I didn't buy OW to play dress up, I bought it to play OW. I'm just happy that you can get loot boxes and costumes without paying money.

Also, I like the fact that common items are common and rare items are rare. I'm so hyped when I see that orange disk flying through the air.

So who's all suprised by this......anyone? Honestly this crap is just a given in games now, people get what they buy, and people spend a ton of money on this stuff.

They outright admitted that it doesn't effect gameplay so I don't see what the big deal is. Just don't buy 'em. It's not like they're selling specific loot items that majourly effect how someone can play the game or alters healing or anything, it's just skins and taunts.

That being said, I don't really care but whatever floats their boat, I guess. Just gimme more Borderlands and I'll be on my merry way.
