Damn, the amount of people who actually enjoy TPS isn't much it seems. Personally loved it, and while not being Australian, I laughed more than I ever did during BL2 since TPS had less meme's and less Burch.

Well GearBox, that makes one of us.

Actually, I think the best solution for all parties involved is for GearBox to concentrate solely on making Facebook puzzle games for grandmothers. That way they will both be fulfilling their maximum creative potential and be someplace where I never have to hear/think about Randy Pitchford ever again.

WEAPON BUILDING/CUSTOMIZATION!!!!

Gods, the core of it is actually already done for it too. You guys could TOTALLY do it. And there's no reason not too. So do it! Please?

I guess that means Gearbox just doesn't have a project lined up to divert money from. Magician Randy is going to have to brush up on his showmanship and deception to lure in and string along another sucker publisher.

We already have that technically, it is called Gibbed.
But what is the use of hunting for gear when you can slap your own together? It is the polar oposite of loot 'n shoot.

Simple. Because you still have to find guns to take apart and use. Better guns means better gun parts.

I'd buy the next Borderland in 5 years. This might shock the industry but annual releases dilute the quality of your game and burns customers out thus squandering the faith you earned with your first game. You know what we're ready for? Another Brothers in Arms game.

The thing is though, after you have the perfect gear there's no reason to loot more if you ask me.

Well there's more to building guns than just stats. More gun parts also means more variety in looks if you want to build/customize a weapon.

Gearbox will work on Borderlands 3 when another company like SEGA gets suckered into giving them money to make their game and they take all of those funds to do their own pet projects.

Maybe they can get hired to develop a completely different game, use it's budget to make another Borderlands, and pawn it off onto some other studio to build from start to finish in a few months.

Again.

You beat me to it.

So in other words Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel underperformed and Take-Two Interactive won't fund another one and after Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines no other publisher will touch them either.
I think it's more that they don't have another publisher's money to divert into a third game.
That's what they are alluding to though.

Especially after Aliens Colonial Marines no outside publisher wants to hire them to make their games because they have shown that at first chance they will swindle the money you gave them to make their game, put it into Borderlands, and when they ask where their game is they shit out a piece of shit (A:CM) and the client company is the one that gets the most shit for it as opposed to the third party studio who fucked over their money.

Pitchford did have a point. BL3 will be 'the big one', the game that willy make or break them. If it succeeds, we have a spectacular new Borderlands game. If it fails, Gearbox will most likely crash and burn. Unless they get Homeworld made in between and everybody loves it.

I wish they made less but bigger DLC.
I made the mistake to buy the regular borderlands 2 for the 360 and not the goty edition and the sheer ammount of things you can buy is staggering, desorienting and most definitely overpriced.
Still a great game though. I thought the pre-sequel was bad? According to totalbiscuit, borderlands 2 is the better choice.
The Pre-Sequel isn't quite as well-written as BL2 (although it's still good), but the gameplay is much better. The addition of zero-G and jetpacks is a massive improvement (far moreso than you might think), and all of the characters are a lot better designed than the BL2 ones.

Especially Athena, who is by far the most enjoyable character in any of the Borderlands games.
