Gears 2 for PS3????

Seriously, chill the fuck out man, we all know its never going to happen, hell most of us on the PS3 side don't want it happen either. It would do worse in sales than it did for PC. And its not just lack of people owning the system, its lack of intrest in what, we all know, would be a shitty half assed port.

I am calm, it is just that caps and sarcasm are the only way that 90% of people on the Internet will ever read anything. There are still people in this topic who honestly are trying to argue that Gears of War will come to the PS3, and are using some pretty crappy excuses to argue their point.

In the end, these people are only setting themselves up for disappointment by making up random excuses that twist reality. It just will not happen. If you want Gears, just buy a 360 instead of blindly waiting for the port that isn't coming.

Anyway, I doubt that gears will come to the PS3, microsoft publishes it (and I think the have ownership of the IP too, but I'm not sure)

I don't want gears anyway, I hated the first one, way too slow.

Thus further proving my previous point that a good number of PS3 owners don't want the game to begin with. Go ahead, have your mediocre third person steriod grunt fest. We have a game just like that already, but everyone hated it because it was like that, we call it Haze.

Although I personally love Haze, the dialogue is just so bad I can't help but enjoy myself.

The game is NEVER coming to the PS3 and i'm not saying that as a 360 owner...

Gears is published by MICROSOFT so it won't go anywhere that isn't associated with MICROSOFT...like nintendo or sony...WITHOUT MICROSOFTS permission. Since Sony is their biggest rival, MICROSOFT would never let their main franchise go to the enemy console...

Just like Halo will never go anywhere other than microsoft consoles/PC. Even though its made by Bungie, it is a MICROSOFT title and WILL NOT come to any othoer systems...

Wow this thread is so Unreal its like the Fanboy Tournament to see who is the most fanboyish/1337/Epic. I guess we are all a gear in this war of the consoles but try to be realistic Microsoft is not selling the IP anytime soon and is not not going belly up like SEGA did.

Dear lord the morons from IGN have migrated over to this forum.... The Gears Of War IP is owned by Microsoft, but Epic has the trilogy development contract. Just like when it comes to the Halo IP, and Bungie. you will never see any exclusive 360 games migrate since Microsoft knows what they are doing( Don't even start on BioShock, that was a timed exclusive from the get-go). The reason Sony is losing all their exclusives is because they got complacent last gen, and refused to think about the future by contractually binding their popular series. In all honesty I regret buying my PS3(even though I bought it from a friend at half the MSRP) simply because it's obvious Microsoft is playing to win. Sony thinks they have loyal customers, but you can only smack people around so much before they turn on you. With the 360 at a reasonable $200, and the upcoming Blu Ray expansion, Sony is in deep trouble. Whoever thought Resistance 2, and a sequel to a lackluster mediocre game(Killzone 2) was competition for this holiday season is going to lose their job!

Killzone 2 doesn't count; it comes out in February 2009, after the 2008 Holiday season.

Though, MOST of the big, highly anticipated games this holiday season are multi-platform. The only big 360 exclusives are Gears of War 2 and Fable 2...Though, they certainly are juggernauts. Sony's potential big sellers this holiday are Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, and possibly SOCOM: Confrontation (Assuming they can get the fucking servers fixed and stable between now and the Apocalypse...).

I'm pretty sure that's called "Halo 3 Recon" It's supposed to take place prior to the events of Halo 3. And you don't play the Master Chief. If its anything past mediocre then it'll be better than Halo 3.

Actually, its quite anticipated. The originals sold relatively well, and this was back when the PS2's online service was a pain in the arse.

The problem now isn't that Sony's online service is a pain in the arse...It is that Slant Six screwed the pooch. They rushed Confrontation out before making any major fixes from the equally bad beta, and are attempting to patch the game and ensure the stability of the servers after launch. They had a 500 MB patch up for download on day one, and the game still barely works.

It will be a great game once it is fixed, but right now you are pretty much paying $40-$60 for a "Unable to connect to server" screen that doubles as a paperweight.

The original Killzone was extremely atmospheric and intense and incredibly immersive (for it's time), and most of the people who've played it really enjoyed it including myself.

The original Killzone was extremely atmospheric and intense and incredibly immersive (for it's time), and most of the people who've played it really enjoyed it including myself.

Are you kidding, it was a poor black and white shooter with horrible controls that was hyped lke crazy, of course I bought it, and hated it...its my opinion, you have your I disliked Killzone 1, and Killzone 2 looks like a COD 4 clone with the sci - fi element thrown in.
