from what I gather,

Stopped reading after that; "from what I gather" indicates you have not played the game, as a result your opinion is not your own. How can you have an opinion of a game you've never played, in terms of its quality.

(yes, I understand you could hear the basic premise of the campaign, but until you've actually played the game you should not post about disagreeing with my opinion.)

You can get a pretty good view of a game from gameplay and the cutscenes. And from what I've seen of it, i'm pretty glad I haven't spent money on it.

I don't know what you wanted me to say to that, I stand by my view that you can't get a detailed enough view of a game without playing it through to compare your opinion to someone who has.

For me, it just made Christmas a whole lot better. Time to go play some Gears.

Did it really sell 3 million? I've seen sales numbers of 1.2 million but not 3 - then again, I've stated before, I don't trust those charts.

I like it, good to see 3 million others do too. Hopefully this one won't have a dead community by the time I get to play it online.
