statues/collectibles are not okay, but action figures that you play with are?

now not to say i wouldn't appreciate some sweet action figures either...just saying, that "dont have sex with me" line seems hypocritical.
Oh, it is, but I can hide action figures. I can lock the door and make my pew pew and woosh sound effects in privacy. That's assuming I would actually have someone to hide it from. Which I don't. Those "collectibles" just gather dust like a ************ and I can't play with them.
Any girl who wouldn't shag you because you have action figures isn't worth shagging in the first place.

Nice words, but that doesn't really hold up in most cultures.

Many, perhaps even most, girls will mock the shit out of you for being into nerdy things, sure. That doesn't mean you should feel like you have to hide something you enjoy just to seem "cool" enough to be worth hanging out with. Having action figures or videogames or comics or anything like that isn't something to be ashamed of, and if someone makes you feel like it is, they're a jerk. Period.

If you're buying them, you aren't hiding them. And if a girl in this day and age can't accept a guy might like video games, then she will probably be a very lonely girl.

Why is it faux pas to suddenly display something you enjoy? Do you say the same thing about movie posters and the ilk?

It seems a tad ridiculous.

OT: Am I the only one who finds the arms a tad...jarring? Everything else looks suitably scraped up and dirty and scarred. Then you have his one arm covered with metal, then the other with this little tattoo...then perfectly clean. It just strikes me as strange, why not just go all the way with it? Dirt that thing up some.

Hrm...

I wonder if those schematics will actually build a working Hammer of Dawn.

It'd be useful for rush hour traffic. :D

Listen to the nerdy lady for she is wise.

On topic though, this:

No mutated circus clown action figures and chest high wall replicas so I can make a diorama demonstrating boring, tedious, repetitive gameplay? No way I would get this crap.

I agree with this. The main point of friends and relationships is finding people who you can enjoy being with. Everyone has things about them that don't fit the mold you see on those high school sitcoms. Find someone who likes you for who you are and prosper.

On topic: This stuff does look kinda pointless. I was all about getting the special edition of Mass effect 3 to celebrate the end of a great trilogy, but now im having second thoughts. What made Mass Effect great was something that was not physical. No matter how shiny the box was the software made the experience. I imagine the same holds true for Gears of War. Perhaps i'll celebrate the release of Mass effect 3 by getting it in its true form. A digital edition
