Glad to hear he's going to be ok, we don't want another tragedy like the Brian Wood incident, although a bit different, it's always sad to hear a tragedy between developers.

Steven C. Miller is either the BEST short film maker ever or the WORST. Assuming it's the movie that has caused this.

When I saw the "-UPDATED" part of the title I thought "oh well he must have died" seeing as all these stories tend to end in tragedy.

Glad to see my cynicism wasn't proven right today!

Get well soon.

I want to be 100% sure on this. This is the guy who composed the Gears of War 1&2 soundtracks and someone slipped him something in his drink as a joke?

yeah, that's usually how people get hurt, by being the butt end of the joke.

I'm still curious what exactly the problem was. Surgery isn't indicative of poisoning, unless it completely trashed an internal organ like a kidney, which is possible. I'm wondering if he was actually dosed or if being drunk at the party exacerbated an already existing condition.

Haven't played Gears, but hey, composers are cool and people dying isn't.
Best of luck and get better.

Just looked at his Twitter again, looks like he's gonna make it. Rejoice, a great composer will survive! :D

Although I'm still curious on what actually happened...

While I don't hold gears of war music very high to me, if anyone does as much as I do with Martin O'donnel's work with Halo, then I sympathize with them.
