Gears of War Triple Pack Not Coming to the UK, Says Microsoft

So apparently, only the Americans are allowed to save money, and no other people?

I'm of the opinion that the best way to save your money here, on either side of the Atlantic, is to skip the Gears of War games entirely. Only pick them up on rental or from some bargain bin.

They're hardly the best when it comes to third-person Cover-based shooters with competition from:
-Uncharted Trilogy
-Vanquish
-Lost Planet 1 & 2
-Mass Effect Trilogy
-Red Dead Redemption + GTA4 (a stretch, but still cover elements)

I'm frankly way more excited about Epic's own Bulletstorm. Gears 3 just seems to be the 2nd expansion pack for Gears 1 which sold far more on being the first interesting Xbox 360 exclusive and the novelty of the chainsaw gore. It looks cool, but it is no fun to actually use due to how bloody fiddly it is. Really it's just a reskin of 2004's Kill-Switch and the series since then has sold itself on gore gimmicks rather than really innovative gameplay changes.

But I like over the top chainsaw gore and overly macho, stereotypical men who wants to kill rather than spending time with a woman.

Also, my friends play it, and I think it's fun playing it with my friends ;D
And I'm getting the Mass Effect series for the 360 when I buy one and Uncharted 2 and 3 (Already got the first one) for the PS3 soon.

Also, Bulletstorm looks fucking awesome, I can't wait for it! :3

That's a shame, many things are fun to do with your friends but that's because of your friends not so much the game itself. I see tacking in co-op as a cheap way to make your game seem more appealing by exploiting your friendships.

The game suffers for this as you constantly have an NPC ally if playing single player where usually they are distracting in their uselessness or a down right hindrance.

I enjoyed gears much more playing with a friend but it's not something that very worth while. I mean you can only play when both of you are ready and willing and only for as long as both of you are.

(I'd recommend you get Mass Effect on PC, Bullet-Storm as well)

Well considering the craptacular mutiplayer connection which was never truely sorted out, the sheer bloody arrogance of the people on the game (I've had more abusive messages from gears one then every cod game I played, I'm amazed.) and the fact it isn't really that good in terms of gameplay and story doesn't really make me shed a tear for my loss. It's not even a triple pack, that would have gears three, not all the maps for number two and the one level they couldn't be arsed to finsh.

Still, the PC version is expensive for a 3 year old game.

Really? I picked it up for £10 (I think) brand new last year. It's likely expensive for you because it's a pain in the mother funking backside to get hold of outside of the Games for Windows Marketplace.

On that note, screw the 360. PC GoW2+3 plx.
