Geek dates

so... I'm thinking of asking this girl out, she's kinda geeky and yada yada yada, details don't really matter.
The question is: do you guys have any ideas for fun geeky dates? 'Cause I realized I can't think of anything. doesn't have to be specific for this girl, just general geeky date ideas for future use. Ladies, your input is of course greatly valued, you probably have a better idea of what you would consider a fun date than I do.

Shooting range has always been my favorite date. Here in Canada it's kind of expensive so I don't know about where you are. I'm no gun nut, but firing a few rounds into a zombie poster is very fun, and depending on the context, could be thought of as geeky.

Well but there's only one lady whose idea of what fun is matters here, isn't there? Don't worry too much, there's no such thing as a "perfect date"...and any kind of battle plan usually only survives until enemy contact anyway, and it's improvisation from then on. *chuckle*

What I'm saying is, don't do a checklist, just suggest an idea or two, out of stuff she enjoys (and you enjoy, by the way, never suggest something you don't like yourself for the sake of a date, not a good idea) - a date doesn't have to be a perfect masterpiece of planning and timing, it just needs to be, well, fun. After all, a date is a lot more about who you're with than it's about where you are - as long as the "where" is at least a little interesting.

"Kinda geeky" isn't really a very helpful description though. Does she like Manga? DC/Marvel? C++ scripting? Does she wear glasses and talk about how she loves playing the newest Super Mario on her PS3?

I have no great advice to give you. Except, maybe find a barcade if you can. But those things don't really exist anymore.
Or visit a comic shop/nerd store.
Or lazer tag.

I don't think we have those here. There's a pool centre that has a games section I think. stuff like what you find on funfairs and amusement parks.
I really love laser tag, but about a year ago my leg got busted so now it hurts to stand/walk. I still can, but I'm not sure running around for 20 minutes is a good idea.

I know. I was just looking for a different perspective. I don't want anyone to give me a timetable or anything. just some suggestions of things to do. like you guys are doing now. which is awesome.

It kind of depends on what part of geek culture she's into. One geek girl I dated loved classic literature, so our first date was spent walking around to used bookstores looking at their old leather bound books and trying to find old prints of books. Another girl I dated loved board games, so we went to a used Board game/ RPG store and just browsed around for an hour before playing a game of Talisman with the owners of the shop. Or you could just do the whole coffee shop thing, it's a little played out and unoriginal, but if it turns out you've got fuck all in common with each other, then you're not tied down like a movie and dinner combo. Hell if you're old enough, you could also just go to a bar, plenty of fun things happen in those places.
