I tried to watch it, and I actually like the original song, but the lead singer's voice in this version was migraine inducing.

I disapprove.

All of them recent references that pretty much slap you in the face as soon as you fire up your internets. Also, "pone" always makes me cringe.

These geek gamer girls are a lie. <-- another one that really wears on me but it fit so whaddya gonna do eh?

Much more could be said but I'm not giving this video any more of my time.

That steaming pile of offals only saving grace was the fat Flash. Its also really sad to see how far Seth Green has fallen.

This video seriously brings this to mind.
You win. For saying the correct thing and beating me to it. God-damn ninjas.

But yeah, I'm of the 'I'll believe it when I see it' approach to (ergh, hate myself for saying this) "female gamers" being as attractive as that (this video) and actually enjoying things that are beyond my level of gamer-culture to enjoy (As I'm not actually THAT much of a gamer, I'm more of a sporty person who enjoys games to pass the time). The ONLY evidence to the contrary is miss Aylaine who hangs around these forums. Not saying there aren't more attractive (ergh) "gamer girls" out there, but they tend to be pretty well hidden. In honesty, that's probably a good thing for them, AND for the gaming culture, but it makes it hard to break down pre-judgements.

I have realized...I hate rap and people liek Katey Perry...cause of the content, not the actual tunes. Hell, I may enjoy rap if it was MC Green.

Plus I want a Psylocke costume! (Not that Id look good in it, but shes my 2nd fav Marvel character ((after Nightcrawler)))

I'm not sure, but the one dressed as han solo was Zaboo's abusive girlfriend on The Guild.

It's a sad thing when the parody makes the original look better.

Also, why am I reminded of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8ZVZRsy8N8 ?
The was the first thing that popped into my head the instant the video started. Katy Perry naked with her bits covered by Lightsabers pretty much perfectly fits into what that video starts taking about at 7:20. I'll admit I was wowed the first time I saw a chick posing naked save for the NES controllers covering her in areas I'd rather they didn't, but eventually the trend just started to feel bland.

It was interesting when it was rare, but now it just seems to be something else on the porn star's check list. "Pose with glasses... check. Pose as a goth... check. Pigtails... check. Gaming accessories... check. Alright, let's do the painting on my body gallery next, and tomorrow we'll do the lollipop teasing shoots."

My WoW guild has a number of hotties in it. They exist, but when I see something like this I wonder if they really are or if it's just for the sake of the video. Not that it really matters to me so overall I just treat it like any other video and appreciate it's creativity.

You know how everybody seems to like Big Bang Theory because it's filled with references to nerd/geek culture, but many of the jokes could be recycled into any setting? That's the vibe I get from this. Geeks seem to be a huge market these days, and most things that appeal to that market feel the same as things that are made to appeal to any market: They're here because they'll get attention and make money. That's it. Is there an artistic reason for this video? Something it is achieving that several other Katy Perry parodies haven't? Because I don't feel there is. I even like some things that do this (Big Bang Theory, for instance), but I can never shake the feeling that it's only been made because it knows it'll sell to my specific demographic.

I like Seth, The girls are hot, but they sound terrible! Not even the Auto-Tune saved them from singing tottally off-key.
Meh. Cheap shot at our geek erogenous points. Katie Sackoff was cool, though.

Addendum: but if they just sang well, it would be a tottaly different experience. Check The Key of Awesome parody of Kate Perry. They did a superb job.
