Geeky names for pets.

I call my dog Batman.

It's always funny to call for bats when I'm walking him. Though when I yell, BAD BATMAN

My neighbors assume I'm crazy.
Or are awe-inspiringly brave.

No geeky names just now, I wasn't quite a fully formed nerd when we got these cats. However, when I finally move out I'm so having a snake called Nagini. Or preferably, a cat named Urz. A dog would be more suitable perhaps but I'm not so great with them.

If it counts, every single computer/phone linked into my house's network is named after a robot. I'm currently on HAL, mucking about with the connections to Holly, who in turn is supplying data to my phone who (as of tomorrow) will be named either Legion or Vigil, I've yet to decide.

My cat's name is Skynyrd. Okay, maybe it's not the geekiest name ever, but if I had more cats, I'd definitely name one Kyo (fruits basket), Mario & Luigi if I could get a pair of brothers, and the rest of them after chinese food just to be a jerk. (Wonton...General Tso? Badass)

Also, I love cats, so this is a very possible scenario in the future when I have my own place...

Unfortunately, I have no pets, but I know I would name a dog Lu Bu.
May I ask why?

OT: I want to name a dog I get in the future John Galt.
If I get a big dog, it has an intimidating name to go along with it. If I get a small dog, it gets an ironic name. It works pretty well in any situation.
Please tell me you bought Dynasty Warriors 7! XD Lu Bu still kicks ass in that game.
That's a great idea though. A huge dog named Lu Bu. If you get a fat dog you can name it Dong Zhou.
Stopped playing Warriors games after Samurai Warriors: Empires 2. Sorry. I still have Dynasty Warriors 4 and Samurai Warriors, though, both of which I still love.

That'd be classic. Then on the rare occasion that someone was like "Who is John Galt?" you could be all, "Here boy".

Ahh... Nice.

Ok, well I'd name my next cat Chilli, because I have two cats called Chester and Millie, and Chilli is a fantastic name.

Right now I have an obese cat I call Jabba the Cat, and when I get my own place I want two cats named Schrodinger, and Chairman Meow.
Hahaha! That's awesome. Same with Jabba the Cat... obese cats do about as much as Jabba does anyway, so.. perfect!

I'm a music nerd, and wanted to name my bunny after a music symbol. His name is Coda (the pet store told me he was a girl when I bought him... had I known he was a boy, I probably would have given him a more masculine name).

Also, I've named three of my four hamsters after donuts from Tim Horton's. The first one was Timbit because she looked like a strawberry timbit (albino). The second was Fritter, the third was Dutchie. My most recent was Pippin, which is one of the hobbits from Lord of the Rings. He was just as stupid, so it seemed appropriate.

Well, it seems that Pippin is a bit popular. I named my dog, a male boxer, after him. Imagine my deception when waters divided an some people didn't agree with me in that Pippin was a nice name, live and learn (and go fuck yourselves name-mocking-people I've encountered). It fits him right as well, he's not stupid but tends to be stubborn and a bit of a bully.

Getting a cat soon, going to name him Ramirez.

So I can yell at him in a dramatic voice whenever he does something he's not supposed to.

RAMIREZ, STOP LICKING MY CEREAL

RAMIREZ, DON'T POOP ON THE FLOOR

RAMIREZ, TAKE DOWN THAT SNIPER

maybe not the third one, I think I'm confusing it with something....

If I ever get a dog I would totally call it Dogmeat, otherwise I'd probably just get a cat and call it Garrus or something.

I give my pets names that suit how they behave or how they look, which wont necessarily be "Geeky". I have had several cats but never got the chance to give them any "Geeky" names (since I have always shared pets with my sister and she would hate these kind of names) so I don't think I ever will

I kind of want to name my next cat Ser Pounce-a-lot.
My housemate and I are in agreement that if we get a (second) cat, he or she will be named Ser Pounce-a-lot. :D

My only pet now is a cat named Ezekiel (Zeke). I had to name him something my parents would approve of. It's not obviously geeky, but if you're the same kind of nerd as me, you might notice that his black fur reminds you of a certain game console...
