Being informed offline about htings going on in a forum. Being told in person about your epic game of Halo or Call of Duty or counter strike or that raid in WoW. I do not want to fucking hear about it. Or hearing about things from 4chan. Remember the first fucking rule you assholes. Shut the fuck up. Or people telling me about game hype. Like it's the most fucking important thing in the world, next to your new shitty little big planet level. *rages*

People who say abbreviations. Like 'Lol' etc.

I also hate people who try to make things sound so much harder then they are. I have a friend who thinks he's a computer LORD because he knows how to put a stick of RAM in a computer. He was trying to tell me how hard it was, at college one day. So to shut him up, I took the RAM out of a college computer, showed him it, and put it back in.

'twas smooth. He then shut up.

Oh, and people who are addicted to anything that comes from Japan, to the point that they are constantly writing stories about their own Japanese characters, that all have unimaginative Japanese sounding names that mean nothing whatsoever, that all follow some terrible story that's a rip off of Final Fantasy 7. I do a games development course, and it's litterally full of them.

What's so bad about our own culture?

QFT. It's doubly annoying when they start conversations about how J-games and anime is better when you're trying to watch/play something.

Hahaha. It's even worse when they start actually thinking they're Japanese, dying their hair, and say that manga is an art form!

Haha, I've just realised, my picture has Shogun written in Japanese.

It's for the music, I swear!

It's a whole lot worse when they actually start thinking they're Japanese, and say that Manga is an art form....

And when they get into a conversation with someone else about it, it JUST DOESN'T END.

Anyone who calls an over priced, backwards comic book 'manga' deserves to be beaten to death with their own lobotomized brain.

I hate coding. All of it. Even using Dreamweaver is proving to be a pain in the arse at the moment

"Social networking" - it's neither social, nor networking and I refuse to get on facebook or myspace. I don't care if "everyone else is on it". My life is not that interesting where I have to keep an online diary.

Oh, and as a cosplayer (feeling a lot of hate in this thread) I draw the line at certain points. I dress up as a character to express my love of said character/series. I DO NOT go and "act" like my character. Those are some scary folk. I look at it more as a perpetual Halloween and a way to meet people who like what you like. I'm a very casual cosplayer. That's not scary, is it? :(

Honestly? It's probably the bragging about hardware. Yeah, I get it, you have more disposable income than me, now leave me to my plebeian existence.

That, and the whole "Guild aplication" process that makes perfectly good mmorpg's feel more like work

Edit: Typos from poor co-ordination

I'm a complete nerd and I definitely look like I can kick ass :l But seriously, how everyone is like using that as a stereotype for nerds kinda sucks. Should I start wearing those glasses and high pants? =/

LARP (I'm an avid fan of tabletop roleplaying games, I'll admit, I get into character, but when it comes to certain things, I'll let my dice do the talking)
rabid fanboyism (or worse, girl-ism) when it comes to console/pc, game, operating system, anime or whatever... STOP IT
elitism - I do what I do because I enjoy it, not because it will do the most damage or is not optimal (though I do like to optimize characters in said tabletop RPG's...)

oh... the smell

Cosplayers are the only things that i can not stand. It maybe that I just don't like dressing up in general, but cosplaying really makes no sense to me and seems really embarissing.

There is quite some Larp hate here ;) Why? It's easy to see larp as a bunch of idiots argumenting over details in rules....but almost all the stuff that can be said against Larp, could also be said about DnD.

No, people dont loose sight of reality. Yes, when the game stops, we act back to normal.

Furries, vampires, and anime in general.

Particularly the weeaboo type persons who use " :3 " or "XD" or goodness knows what more often than punctuation.

We have words for a reason, and I can understand you being too lazy to type out all the letters in a word or of using internet-spawned acronyms (I'm way too dependent on 'lmao' as a word which translates into "I found that amusing"). But relying on terrible ascii renditions of stylized faces to convey mood? NO. DO NOT WANT.jpg with a dash of facepalm. Learn to use some freaking English.

Seriously, I much enjoy talks with people who have English has a second to fifth language and are constantly beating themselves up about their 'poor English' when it's better than most people who type it as a first language. I try to tell them about that but hey, modesty lives on in Europe I guess.

Many things said sum up what I dislike, but I have to emphasize:

- Intolerable geek fans of a specific game/anime/source that fail to properly discuss any topic (including the one they are fans of).

- Laughing by saying "LOL" instead of ACTUALLY laughing.

Dreamweaver and HTML/CSS is not coding.

I also can't stand it when people think using HTML or CSS is A) complicated or B) think they're web design gods because they can use motherfucking Dreamweaver or publisher.

Why all the hate on anime?

I also get annoyed when people talk about the specs of computers when they know full well that I haven't got a clue what they're talking about.
