Yes it's homestuck, and certainly not the kind of vulgar filth I would expect to see on the escapist.

I was greatly surprised when while browsing through the cosplay gallery I was greeted with pornography.

I saw many (at least 20) people either going barefoot or close to it there. About half of them were actually cosplaying.

As much as I hate explaining jokes and just say "Go read Homestuck" that would take way waaay too long. To put it simple - the Trolls, an alien race in the game, reproduce by two trolls, ahem, "depositing" bio material in buckets when the Imperial drone comes around and that material is then taken away to make little troll larva. Buckets are the main way of reproduction in troll society and just waving one around is considered very, very vulgar. (It's basically like someone waving their dick in your face)

Anime is a style. Just because it originated in Japan doesn't mean that it has to be made in Japan to be anime, and The Last Airbender is very obviously drawing it's inspiration from that style.

I got a picture of you! Your costume super rocked! My costume was far less awesome then yours but just as cool as some of the ones in here. The fact that you got passed up is completely random chance I'm sure because they never get photos of ever great costume at the con, that would be impossible.
