Heard about it? Richard Garriot is about to fly to the ISS. When i hard the name in the news I thought:"WTF? Is this General British or just some dude that has the same name? Ok... it IS General British." What do YOU think about this?
I think he's going to take over the ISS xD

It's Operation immortality isn't it? An odd event worked into some really bizarre PR stunt for tab rasa.

Doesn't suprise me about the Russians.

NASA, as U.S.A Government Employees, is not allowed to endorse or advertise any product, so American-based companies have turned to Russia, who have no such qualms about product affiliation ("Anything can be done for Rubles", Unknown Russian Space Program Member), for outer-space advertising.

That's finally happening? Jesus it took him long enough. There was a news clipping about it that was up in my school's library for at least a year. Apparently the reason behind the whole Lord British thing is that he talked with a posh British (I assume that means English 'gentleman') accent, and so he inherited the nickname Lord British.

It's a bit retarded that he kept it when he grew up though.

And according to the wiki, there was actually a General British character inserted into Tabula Rasa.

I thought the "Lord" British thing came from the crown he wore.
I think he wears the crown because of the character, Lord British, in the Ultima series (Again, according to the wiki, he's the King)
