As much as I hate to be even slightly on the same page as Star Wars incels, it's hard not to hold her partially responsible for Star Wars' failings. Maybe one day we'll get a documentary about what went down this past decade.

Surely John Lithgow has enough showbiz acumen to know what he's getting into and more importantly what he's getting out of it. Popping in and out of a prestige Max show sounds like a fine retirement plan. Dumbledore clocks what, like an hour of actual screentime across eight movies?

If anything I feel sorry for all the kids unknowingly walking into the sights of a culty fandom that will intensely pick on their every little move and affectation over the entirety of their formative years.

That's an odd way of seeing things. It's not like the franchise gained sentience and decided to pump out a movie every year for 6 years straight.

I know, but the solution to Star Wars now isn't to just get better leads and writers, it's to just stop making it. It's the flood of Star Wars content that's harming Star Wars - Kathleen Kennedy could've been anyone. The MCU has a similar problem, where each new movie trying to fix things only adds to its problem by being yet another freaking MCU movie. Though Star Wars has the added issue of not being able to escape the Jedi/Sith/Rebels/Empire plot.
