A few facts;

Born January 10 1949, a two time World Heavyweight boxer (the second title won at the age of 45) with a tally of 76 wins and 5 losses. He is credited with being one of the best boxers and hardest hitters in the sport.

The George Foreman Grill, invented in 1994 and has sold more than 100 million units worldwide.

I was discussing this with my brother-in-law a while back when I asked the question: Which has he had greater influence in; Healthy eating or the sport of Boxing?

In general, this is about famous people and the endorsements they have made. Overall, have they made a greater impact in their chosen field or as a spokesman.

His grill is pretty awesome...

But his boxing career allowed him to have a spokesman career.

He's made a greater impact with the grill.

A lot of people don't even know he's a boxer.

I don't think the George Foreman Grill has gathered too much of publicity outside The US, apart from references in TV shows and movies and so on.

For me, he's been both, foremost a boxer. And at the age 45? Wow, didn't know that.

Interesting that some don't know he was a boxer. Comparitively speaking, we dont have as many celeb spokesmen here in Australia. Of all the ones in other countries are there any other examples of people being more famous for their products rather than their main profession?

I knew he was a boxer, but without him I would be unaware that his grill came with a handy warmin' lid. Hard to choose
