German Geeks Taught To Flirt
Potsdam University [http://www.uni-potsdam.de/english/], south of Berlin, is offering the "flirting course" for those IT Engineers who want it. And let's face it, who wouldn't?
The 440 students enrolled in the Master's Degree course will learn how to write flirtatious text messages and emails, impress people at parties and cope with rejection. Without mentioning the size of their peripherals, one would hope.
It's part of a social skills package that also teaches students about body language, public speaking, stress management and presentation skills. The course's teacher, Philip von Senftleben, describes it as "How to get someone else's heart beating fast while yours stays calm."
Obviously no-one here would ever need such a course of instruction, but the next flight to Germany leaves in approximately two hours time. Just, you know, as an FYI.
