Oh sweet jesus you gave me a heart attack. I thought that this was gonna be a sexism thread stating the obvious fact that even forgetting the blatant misogyny, it's a crap joke.

Just good ol' peanut butter.

I'm not a creative sandwicher.
Me too. Always got annoyed about that. All this mayo and lettuce and ham, but never any peanut butter or even bloody marmite sandwhiches!

I am partial to a chicken, bacon and sweetcorn baguette. With sweet chilli mayo.
Mmm, that does sound pretty tasty. ^^

So fellow escapists, what is your favourite sandwich. Why do you like it,
I'm rather partial to the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. With tomato and cucumber slices. Yummy.

Actually, for lunch today I had a barbeque pulled pork sandwich with jambalaya on it - yes, right on the sandwich. Very tasty as well.

But favorite? Hmm... I don't know. So many good options. From the beer-battered fish sandwich to the Philly cheese steak... I can't decide. They're all so tasty!

I am a huge fan of Subway's meatball marinara subs, they're pretty much the tits. Unfortunately they're also pretty expensive, which I forget when I'm drunk an end up wasting all my money on them.
That's fair enough, and they are delicious, but the last time I went into a Subway, the two guys behind the counter tried to sell me drugs.

OT: Turkey on crusty bread.

Or a good old sausage sandwich.

If there is one thing in the world that I will never get sick of eating, it's a grilled sandwich with cheese and ham. Simple as hell to make, only takes like one minute for the grill to heat up and BAAAM! 15-30 seconds later, a nice grilled sandwich, just perfect during launch with orange juice.

My favorite sandwich is roastbeef, provolone cheese, lettuce, lots of pickles, oil, lots of vinegar, mayo, and oregano.
Maybe toast it a bit and get the cheese all melty and the roastbeef kinda warm and the shit is divine.

One thing I can't stand though is mustard. Get that nasty crap offa my sammich!

Are they also on fire?

I'm a big fan of chicken type sandwiches, especially cajun spiced chicken. And of course, bacon is a classic.

Not a big fan of onion on sandwiches though, those can stay in other foods.

Get a crap tonne of this:

Then a little less of this:

Then put them on either slice.

If you want Subway order: Subway melt, toasted with lettuce, onion and sweetcorn

Being from Philly, it's obligatory to respond with "Cheese steak, sauce & onions" and whole cherry peppers on the side.

Then again, I'm also partial to a toasted seafood salad warp, with lettuce, tomato and honey mustard.
Or, a roast beef hoagie, with provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers, mayo and horseradish.
Or, just a pulled pork sandwich, provolone with horseradish and jalapeno slices.

The sandwich is made best with hot pastrami, provolone cheese, spinach leaf, onion, spicy mustard, and of course bacon. For such a sandwich I would do anything.

Hmm If I had to choose. . . Turkey and Salami with Swiss Cheese on a whole wheat roll. Extra points for Stone Ground mustard. there is just something about the way that Turkey and Salami work together. . . I feel sorry for people that live in countries that do not have easy access to Turkey, though I suppose goose or chicken could work.

I have simple tastes when it comes to sandwiches, I think. Since I'm a vegetarian, I can't have meat, but I like putting two slices of cheese (usually cheddar) in, alone with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo. I also like putting salt and pepper on the mayo.

I have yet to find anything that beats a plain old bacon sandwich with tomato ketchup.

The Costco here sells these pre-seasoned roasts from Mortons of Omaha and they're fucking delicious just as a roast with some mashed potatoes and a vegetable. Once the roast is cold however it gets even better as sandwich meat, sliced thin by hand, motorized meat slicers do something nasty to the meat that gives it a fake texture. Mayo, mustard of your choice, some smoked cheddar cheese and tomato slices with potato chips and a Mountain Dew. Perfect lunch right there.

oh how happy i am this is not the thread i thought it was going to be :D

OT: This might sound quite odd, but i loveeeee cooking up some homemade skinless chicken Parmesan, with only a slight layer of cheese but a decent amount of sauce, then slapping that big ole hunk of breast between two slices of italian bread.

holy.fuck.

Depending on my hunger, I will eat 3-5 of those bad boys in pure joy. the only reason why i came across liking this one day was i was so damn hungry i just started shoving everything in my mouth (I had a chicken breast and some mostaccoli and buttered bread all on my plate, so i started vacuuming everything up and in the midst of it all i realized how fucking amazing it tasted.)

+

depending on how much sauce/cheese/bread you want, vary up the ratio's, but dear god is that heaven to me.

See, I'm a chubby bastard, so I can't narrow it down to one favorite.
We do have a wonderful topping here called..oh what was it..something like 'Creole chicken salad' or something. So delicious and great to make sandwiches with.
Of course, PB n J is great as well.
Grilled cheese sammiches...
Anything involving bacon...
Sorry, I have to go, I'm getting hungry
