There is nothing more i hate than having to wait on someone to ring you up and their not at their station doing what their susposed to do. Today for example i had to run into Dollar General to get something. When i entered the place theres the little bell on the door so you knew i was there besides the fact im hard to miss. There are three cashiers there. All three of them are in the back room doing nothing but screwing around seeing as how i could hear them and their discussion. Im waiting at the register when more people starting to arrive. I waited a min trying to be a normal patient person but after about two min i lost my cool and yelled can i get some god damn service before im a fucking old man all of them come out nonchalantly and slowly walk to the register to ring up what i needed. Being the "kind" man that i am i proceeded to give them my o so subtle opinion of their service gave them the finger. Most of the time now a days it seems like you can't get a god damn competent person to do their job or you just get some assholes who don't care about their work. Honestly i don't care what your job is in my opinion you should at least care enough about your job to do your work but its not this way anymore it seems. Anyone else get this or do i just shop at the wrong places

I dunno, it doesn't really happen to me. It has a few times, but not enough for me to get angry. I'm going to go with the option "you shop at the wrong places".

But you raise a valid point in assholes not caring about their work. Many of the people where I work are like this, and it does infuriate me to no extent.

Yeah, it happens frequently. But I'm a really reserved person. I could rival a monk. So, you won't see me rage much.

Know that little customer service octagon in Barnes and Noble? No ones ever there so I always take the books on the little displays and look at the back and set them on the counter, dump out the pen cup, and anything else to get their attention. Basically making a mess of the area. It always works and they never ask me to leave.

I had sort of an opposite of that once. They had a bell to ring at the counter. I got there and reached for my money before ringing it, and I swear someone else working there started getting mad and yelled at me about how I didn't ring the bell the second I got to the counter. I really don't see what difference it made anyway.
