I just try and enjoy it myself. Even get involved if i know the words.

Exactly, life is too short to be raging over a frigging video game.
You do not need a headset, or just use the damn mute function if people bother you so much and you absolutely have to have a headset on.

I know there are some peoplem who consider a headset as an absolute must have, and they probably use dickhead terms like "pro gamer", personally these people need to be **** punted to death, just have fun!

The first issue is a bit of a pickle. I don't understand internet connections that well so you're better off following someone elses advice.

As for the last two, the Block Communications and Mute button are your friends.

I had a few similar problems like that in the past, one in particular was some racist moron on Halo who decided to have a 2 on 2 game with me and my friend. Throughout the entire match he kept talking about how black people were the only race who killed one another (I guess he never read about any other major war in the last 8,000 years) and how he believed they were like monkeys. It didn't help that the friend I was playing with was black. The funniest part was when my friend disconnected during the game and the guy's teamate was chewing him out because she thought he hurt his feelings. What she didn't know was that my friend muted him 5 minutes before the match started.

It's amazing, I have the best luck with anything involving the 360. Live? There have been jackasses, but not the horror stories people seem to find. RROD? I got one the first year and it took years for the thing to break down, and my second one only broke because of incompetent movers. I have had next to no problems with my 360.

Well, technically they're not. They're the bastard offspring of Microsoft trying to act older so daddy will love them. Nintendo's the orphaned one that grew up not needing to become an adult, so it stayed a kid.

Other problems can be fixed by Muting people, I do it on most games if I'm on my own or not in a party, It means you can't hear them and they can't hear you. Result.

If they ALL come from Modern Warfare 2 and you're getting sick of it, maybe you just stop playing the game.

Funny I have spent the last week playing Singularity online. And I have had the exact opposite problem when it comes to people talking. The games were practically silent (which really sucks when dealing with a team based game). They few that did use their mics were pretty cool guys. Ever since the introduction of party chat XBL has gotten quieter and quieter.

Party Chat is an amazing feature which I found lacking and a severe minus point for the PS3. I play the Xbox360 because of my friends as well. Mostly online, party-chat enables us to hook up regardless of our games and places, allowing us to decide on a game right away and play it together, automatically filtering out any of those ranting, constantly whining XBL idiots.

I wasn't knockin party chat. It was just an observation. I use it quite a bit myself. Just sucks sometimes when you are playing a team based game and everyone on your team is in their own parties so no one gets co ordinated enough to win. Then again I am one of the lucky ones who rarely run into the "dickwads" when I am not in a party.

Personally, I hate the exclusion of a numerical ping level on most games... the ping 'bars' that games usually use online are crappy crappy and usually incorrect. Everything else is either good or bearable.

Also, where the hell did you pull $15 for XBL a month from? You can get it for a minimum of £3.33 a month...

I know what you mean about the MW2 messages. I send them a message back telling them to fornicate with themselves and tell their friends too, hopefully my message will reach everyone on xbox live and they may understand that I don't like cheating and I want to be left alone. Also, in-game chat on MW2 really pisses me off and because of this, everyone gets automatically muted, regardless if they have a mic plugged in or not. They have ruined it for everyone else, I mean I can be nice when I want to but now nobody gets to be my friend.
