Getting a Nintendo DS Lite Online

So I recently started playing Pokemon Black 2, and started noticing its subtle 30-40 mentions of how i should take this game online. I tried to take first a DS lite, then a 3DS online but apparently my BT home hub has some kind of freaky space security that neither device supports. So i want to know if there is anyway i can get my DS online Cheaply i noticed a USB Access Point (Nintendo DS & Wii) mentioned but noone seems to sell them.

Have you tried changing the security settings on the wireless hub? It will probably support WEP, MAC filtering or something else that that your 3DS will be fine with. What is the exact model of the device?
